The college has a good atmosphere with a wide mix of people from different states, which helped us to speak English much better. Coming to course details, though we are in mechatronics, we are poor in electronics side. It differs from year to year, because subjects are chosen based on student’s interest. For further studies, if you want to write GATE, we don’t have an option in there which made us to focus on mechanical side. Those who want to go for foreign studies, then this course is useful (...
SASTRA University (Shanmugha Arts Science Technology and research academy) it’s a good College with 100 % placement. But the rules and fines are really strict. Now a days getting a seat in the college itself is getting difficult. People from AP should get at least 98% in groups to qualify for the cut-off.
It is a very good and superb place to study. A must study place, excellent exposure. Infrastructure could be improved, but a must place to study and have fun for your experience. The fees they charge is quite minimal and it’s the best worth for money. It completely depends on the individual how he wants to grab the opportunities and utilize it. The college management tries to support you only when you show a quite good reason for them to support an individual.
SASTRA University, gives 50% weight-age to internal and external examinations. It conducts 3 internal examinations, in which best of 2 is taken, and you are given marks put of 50. External examination is conducted for 100 marks and then is reduced to 50, and final result is adding your internal and external marks. Culture is nice. There are 2 canteens, one of which is run by student community, various cultural, sports and technical fests are conducted over the year. And about placements, mostly ...
Rule are very strict but you must know or find your ways to enjoy. 2 days off in a week and that a good thing. Regarding academics it’s just perfect and depends on you how you learn and develop yourself. Scope of Campus Placements is 95% for every batch. If you are able to maintain 70% by your final year, SASTRA will find you a job somehow.
When I joined SASTRA back in 2007, it was not a case of asking questions on the ROI. I had managed to fall short of the cutoffs for IIT and had a disastrous AIEEE and BITSAT. My board marks were good enough to get me an admit and at that time I had become quite desperate as I did not fancy going to Hyderabad or Kota to waste one more year solving problems from HC Verma, ML Khanna or Boyd. Hence SASTRA!! Looking back now (it’s been four years since I graduated) I hope I can shed light on some of...
Regarding Academics: With respect to syllabus, excellent framework that you either become a chemical engineer/Biotechnologist/Process Engineer. A hybrid syllabus even if you had chosen the course by ignorance/mistake, offers you the flexibility to change your career in any of the three mentioned. Regarding Faculty: Excellent resource. You can get a very good guidance in all the aspects. Very friendly. Related to management: People in administrative sectors are very rude. You feel you don't hav...
It's really good college. You can enjoy a lot. I joined in 2010 E.C.E. The best thing about the college is that it has lot of lab facilities. The only thing is that you have to use it in proper manner and I have learnt lot of things. I got good job and having a beautiful life. Be innovative so that you can achieve more. Last but not least, please use the campus facilities.
A good engineering college in India. Has a very good scope for development and more over is famous for the placements. Departmental wise Bio-Technology, ECE and Mechanical departments are having very good faculty and facilities as well though there is discrimination for other departments but still somehow I feel that these three are better. And more importantly this one of the best colleges in the country for Bio- Technology. And as far as law and MBA are concerned it better find a better place ...
Very good college if you want to concentrate just on studies. You can have a job even if you are average student. The fees is also considerably low as compared to other private universities in Tamil Nadu. Decent infrastructure and well trained faculty members will make you satisfied.
Excellent place to spend four years and learn by yourself (don't expect much from faculties, but you will get an environment suitable to learn). You can find all kind of people here. It's up-to you with whom you make friendship and work towards crafting your career.
SASTRA is a good place to graduate from. It gives a company of smart people around you. The lab and research facilities are par excellent. It provides a good infrastructure support at a nominal fee. Hostels are livable. It is worth the money to study there. As heard from my seniors, SASTRA has got good reputation abroad as well. It has SAP (Semester Abroad Programme) and student exchange programmes which has MoUs signed with leading universities across the globe like Georgia Tech, Harvard, etc. ...
