SIMATS Chennai admission process is based on both entrance test and merit list set by the university. To apply for UG courses, candidates must have atleast passed Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board with 50% aggregate. For admission to UG courses, candidates must appear NEET-UG exam conducted by NTA. 

Admission to MBBS, BTech, MBA, M.Tech courses is done on the basis of NEET-UG, TNEA, TANCET, GATE exams respectively.

The approximate scores that are normally needed at Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences to get admitted to different courses: 

Required to obtain excellent scores in the institute's Saveetha Entrance Examination (SEE) in order to become an MBBS student. For candidates in the general category, the cutoff ranks can range from 100 to 200.
BDS: A minimum of 50% on the 12th grade exam or its equivalent. A good SEE rank is necessary; a cutoff point of 300–400 may be reached.
MDS: passing the NEET-MDS test and earning a minimum of 55% in BDS. Exam SAVEETHA-MDS is also held.
B.Tech: The Cutoff Score on the Saveetha Engineering Entrance Exam (SEEE) may be less than 500 for elite branches such as CSE, ECE, and Mechanical. In the 12th grade, at least 60%.
M.Tech: GATE certification is desired but not required; 60% aggregate in B.Tech or BE is required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing: A minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology

Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS) offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses in various disciplines like Medicine, Dental Surgery, Engineering, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Law, and Management. SIMATS does not offer a direct admission to B.Tech. An entrance exam is required.
The admission process for B.Tech is as follows:

• The JEE Mains and TNCE exams are used to provide admission at SIMATS
• Candidates who have been shortlisted based on their enterance exam scores are required to attend counselling sessions where they can select the B.Tech specialisation they want.
• The final merit list is prepared using factors other than JEE, such as 12th standard marks.

Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is the B.Tech branch that has had the most placements, according to Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences' placement data and records.
