Extremely happy and satisfied, placements could improve, good experience overall.
Placements: The highest and lowest package offered is anywhere between INR 2000 and 10,000. The top recruiting companies are various esteemed hospitals and clinics when they need nutritionists and dietitians as staff. The percentage of students who get internships from the college is 20-30%. Top roles offered are senior dietitian, assistant dietitian, junior dietitian and head dietitian.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure at SNDT College include a library, two big airy hygienic canteens, an in-house stationary store, a common room, clean washrooms, a gym, interactive clubs, an IT room, a beautiful big campus, a nutrition lab, a chemistry lab, a cooking lab, and an instrumentation lab. The quality of the facilities provided in the hostel is excellent, and the food is delicious. The college is very disciplined and offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities and competitions, such as cooking nutrition chef, sports day, nutrition week, and various conferences. These activities are extremely valuable and provide students with precious knowledge and insights.
Faculty: The college has three main faculties and the rest are visiting faculties. All three main faculties have PhDs and are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They provide a great and valuable education through their excellent experience. The curriculum is definitely relevant and industry-ready. The professors have a lot of experience in prestigious hospitals, which makes their inputs quite practical. They include detailed units and chapters on ICU patient care, nutrition feeds, and critical pediatric care, which most universities skip over.
Other: The course provided me with postings in hospitals, which was what I was looking for. The course included roles such as patient counseling, crafting diet plans, and providing the correct nutrition feed to ICU patients. I found this to be a beautiful job because it helps patients improve their lives with the help of pure food. However, the entrance exams and vacancy interviews could be improved. Since the postings after the course are at hospitals, the dietitian is responsible for the life of the patient. Therefore, the entrance tests for this course should be strict, and certified or diploma students should not be considered superior to clinical master students.
