SRM is a journey worth experience.

Placements: The placement in SRM is quite good. 450+ companies visited the college this year including giants like Amazon, Google and HP. The roles offered were mainly GET (graduate engineer trainee). The highest salary offered was 9 LPA by Amazon. Around 70% students were placed. Mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys also offered jobs to many students. Overall, SRM is one of the best colleges when it comes to placement opportunities.

The eduction is the top class, but the overall development is less for the students.

Placements: Unlike, the general SRM track record as is shown through advertisement and all, our batch did not enjoy a good placement at all. I am not blaming the college, but maybe it was due to a certain fall in the market that almost no ECE company came for the placements. Half of the class got placed but mostly in the IT companies. But overall looking at my previous batch students, the placement is good in SRM.

I am satisfied and I suggest to join this college only if you want a pleasant study place.

Placements: The placement is the main reason these institutions are well known for. To be frank, they provide a lot of opportunities, and the ball is in the court of the student. It is up to him/her how they utilise it. One more thing about the placement is to prepare yourself even from the first day by going through the online material provided by them and also from external sources. In my senior's batch, almost 40% of the students got placed, and for my batch, it is about the same 40% and still going on. ...

Last year, the placements were good, but this year it is not up to the mark.

Placements: For computer science placement is good and even top companies are offering a good package. However, for core fields like mechanical, it is still not up to the level even though top offers are there. The general package for good students would be 3.5 LPA if they cleared all the rounds of interview.

Great college and its limitations.

Placements: For computer science, placements are from all the mass recruiters, so the highest package is around 12 LPA. Big companies may come, but not sure about the selection process yet. Placement cell here is very active and provide every chance to help out the students.

The quality of the education and the ways of teaching are good, except the placements.

Placements: The placements are not good, but if you score good marks, you can get one. As compared to the main campus, the placements on our campus are not so good. Last year, less than 50% students were placed. Good companies do come for recruiting, but their qualifying marks or criteria is little above average. The packages offered to the students are around Rs. 3 LPA to Rs. 4 LPA.

Even though the infrastructure is not great, approachability and placements are very good.

Placements: The placement process was very helpful and almost all the people who applied for placement got a placement. Many companies were coming for placement throughout the year. The salary package offered was pretty decent, except for a few companies. The companies which visited for placement varied from few of the big names in the industry to startups.

Don't judge a college by its prospectus

Placements: I don't know much regarding placements as I didn't attend them. The college allowed the students who had CGPA of 6 and above. As far as I know, the college had trained the eligible students on aptitude and 70 to 80% were placed, but I am not sure. That is all I can say about placements at SRM University Vadapani.

Absolutely satisfied with good placement training

Placements: Placements here are just awesome. They have an excellent training for placements. But only one issue is that they give more priority to the main campus students which in Kattankulathur and they majorly try placing those students with high priority after which comes all the other campus. Internship in good companies was provided. The highest salary offered for my senior batch was 35L but that company never showed up for our batch. All big service based companies like CTS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemin...

A college with good infrastructure and excellent placements in 2015.

Placements: Placements are excellent during our batch 2011-2015. Around 300+ companies visited our university. Around 70% of total students (5500) got placed. Highest salary is 22 lakhs offered by "Works Application", lowest is 2.75 lakhs and the average salary is 3.5 - 4 lakhs offered. Companies visited are Indix, E=mc2, Amazon, Snapdeal, Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys, Honeywell, Larsen and Turbo, IBM and much more. Roles offered are that of a software engineer, software developer etc. Infosys, Wipro and Cogn...

As an engineering college, the number of opportunities you get to prove yourself is extremely high.

Placements: SRM has a very large number of students. And when I say large l, really mean it. It has way better placements when you compare it with any other private state colleges. Most of the IT companies are the main recruiters. There are few good core companies which offer a very decent package as well.

The course curriculum is relevant but it doesn't make the students ready for the industry.

Placements: As I was a 2nd-year student, we don't have placements. Only 4th-year students have been placed. Nearly 40% of the students have been placed. The highest salary was 1 lakh from Amazon and least was 10k from a startup company. Top recruiters are Amazon, Wipro, Snapdragon, Flipkart etc. Programmer is the role offered. The highest package was 32 Lacs and the lowest was 2 Lacs. 20% percent of students got internships mainly from Nokia and many startup companies.

Dissatisfied with the teaching in our college.

Placements: Around 85% of the students got placed. The highest salary offered is 2 lakhs per month, and the lowest salary may be Rs. 30,000 per month. Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Microsoft, HCL, Toshiba, and Cognizant are the top recruiters. Companies offer different roles to the students. The highest package offered is 30 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. Around 50% of the students got internships.

Review about SRM IST Chennai

Placements: The placement used to be good but now the placements have decreased. Some branches are even craving for core companies. Year by year, placements are decreasing in the institute.

Srm vadapalani campus structure and facility.

Placements: Placement is better but don't expect to get placed as you wish because you can find only companies like TCS, WIPRO in placements.not as high companies. even though you are mechanical engineer you won't get placed in top companies.you need to try your best.
