Our college doesn't provide good placements.

Placements: It was a bit astonishing to experience an internship in the 1st year. There are several societies to boost your chances of getting placements. College is above average.

Our college is bad in everything.

Placements: Around 40% of students get placement every year among 8000 students. The average salary package offered was around 8 LPA. Companies like Talent Serve, Accenture, Infosys, OYO, etc. offer placements. The lowest salary package was 4-5 LPA. There are stipend and un-stipend internships. Several companies offer roles such as project head, manager, and HR. Placements are good.

Placements: Almost 90% of students are placed in ENC branch. Companies like JP Morgan, Optum etc., come for placements and internships. The highest package offered in ENC was around 16 LPA. Internships provided by your college are quite good. Almost 80% of the students were provided internships.

The top recruiters are De Shaw, Amazon, JP Morgan, Focus Energy, Applicant AI, Upcloud Technology, Cisco, and American Express. About 40% get summer internships. The top role is software engineer. I am not fully satisfied with the faculty and placements.

Placements: Placements are poor. There are various companies for recruitment in both tech and non-tech jobs. The average salary package was 5 LPA and the highest salary package was 10 LPA. Placement opportunities begin from the 3rd year. Many top companies like Optum, Infosys Axis Bank, Applicate AI, American Express, De shaw, Jp Morgan, and many more offer internship and placement opportunities.

There were nearly 22% of students whose salary package was beyond 10 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. The average salary packages of 70 LPA were secured by around 45% of students. The top recruiters are Synopsys, Texas Instruments, Intel, Sandisk, Microsoft, Oracle, and Deloitte.

The top recruiting companies are De Shaw, Axis Bank, Amazon, Microsoft, and JP Morgan but students have to prepare very well to get their hands on these top recruiters.

Review of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: Placements at TIET are normal. The one who truly wants to get a good job can get it. Its placements are better than some lower NITs. The only poor factor is the number of students, due to which one needs to fight to get good placements. The highest salary package in 2021 was 42 LPA offered by Blackstone. The average salary package recorded was around 8 LPA which is a good number. Good organisations like DE Shaw, JP Morgan, Salesforce, Axis Bank, Applicate AI, Optum, and many more visit for inter...

Placements: I think the placements in TIET are degrading day by day due to more intake of students and decreasing cut-offs but still, its median salary package offered is 8.1 LPA which is quite better than some top colleges in North India. The highest salary package offered is 42 LPA. Top companies such as Optum, De Shaw, McKinsey, Adobe, Focus Energy, JP Morgan, and many more visit our campus for internships and placements.

Thapar University is one of the best universities for engineering in India, being a private one.

Placements: Placement starts from the 5th semester you can complete it anytime outside the campus. Top recruiting companies here include Airtel, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and many more. Almost 98% of the students got an internship during their degree. For civil this university is not that good.

Placements: On-campus internships start from the 5th Sem and can apply for the same anytime from Off-Campus. Placements are good for the students. There are two types of internships provided, one is the Summer internship that takes place in the Summer Vacation and the other is the 6 Month Internship that takes place in the 8th Semester.

Review of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: About 90% of students in our branch are placed and the average offer for our branch is 12 LPA. The highest offer ranges from 40 to 50 LPA. So the placements are quite decent. One bad thing about placements is that there are so many students in Thapar. In the case department, there are around 2600 students which makes the competition very high. Also, the cutoff of CGPA for placements ranges from 8.5 to 9 CGPA.

Placements: Placement cell is very active in our college. Most of the information is provided by the placement representatives on the WhatsApp group regarding placements. Placement representatives are students of Thapar University. Both tech and non-tech companies visit for placements or internships.
