Is Thapar worth 25 Lacs?

Placements: Most people from the batch 2023 didn't even get internships as the recession hit Thapar real bad. So, I would say the placement ratio was pretty bad. Though packages were good the highest: was 1 crore, the least was no placement at all an average would be 10 LPA. Companies like Oracle, Optum, BlackRock, American Express, and Microsoft recruited. There were a lot of tech and non-tech roles offered for the batch.

Return on investment is not justified in this college.

Placements: The average salary package offered was 7 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 10 LPA. Internships are average in this college. The top recruiting companies are Maruti, Daimler, Samsung, Honda, Orient Electric, etc. Sixth semester is reserved for internships or startups.

Honest college review of thapar university.

Placements: Good placements are there. Companies come and give placements to the students. Students get very happy when they get placement. When they do not get placement, they get depressed. The companies that come here are good and offers a high package, of almost above 15lpa.

Our college provides good facilities.

Placements: The highest salary package was around 20 LPA, the lowest salary package was around 4.2 LPA, and the average salary package was around 6 LPA. The companies visited were related to the mechanical background like Mahindra, Dabur, Ambuja cement, Bajaj, Bosch, etc. College provides 6 months internship in the industry so that we can have a slight edge over others.

Review of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: I think the placements in TIET are degrading day by day due to more intake of students and decreasing cut-offs but still, its median salary package offered is 8.1 LPA which is quite better than some top colleges in North India. The highest salary package offered is 42 LPA. Top companies such as Optum, De Shaw, McKinsey, Adobe, Focus Energy, JP Morgan, and many more visit our campus for internships and placements.

Review of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: About 90% of students in our branch are placed and the average offer for our branch is 12 LPA. The highest offer ranges from 40 to 50 LPA. So the placements are quite decent. One bad thing about placements is that there are so many students in Thapar. In the case department, there are around 2600 students which makes the competition very high. Also, the cutoff of CGPA for placements ranges from 8.5 to 9 CGPA.

Review of Thapar University.

Placements: Placements on-campus start from the 3rd year and the same goes for internships is nice. There is a good placement council telling us about possible internships. Most companies conduct the test and then interviews. It is a pretty easy process. I am satisfied.

The best option among private colleges after BITS, if you do not have a good score in JEE.

Placements: The placement percentage of my branch is good, i.e., above 90%, though a maximum of them are mass recruiters. The highest package offered is 43 LPA by Microsoft, and the average package is about 7-8 LPA. The top companies include Microsoft, Apple, Samsung, Morgan Stanley etc. The percentage of students who got internships is 30-45%. The top roles offered are software engineer, full stack developer etc.

Placements: Around 92% of the students get placed on campus. The highest salary package offered was 40 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 7 LPA. The average salary package offered was 12 LPA. IBM, Infosys, Microsoft, etc., are the top recruiters of our college. Almost 90% of the students got internships like Coding Ninjas, Toastmasters, etc. Roles offered are as a software engineer, data scientist, full-stack web developer, coding in Java, C, and C+.

Was not satisfied in my previous days/ early days, but it is to be ok now, I could manage now all.

Placements: Placements are good overall, with an overall average package of about 7 LPA, but actually main package comes from coe branch, branch consists of 600 students and even increasing, yup but you can believe thapar for placements at this level as it is decreasing its value continuously.

The college has good infrastructure, mediocre teaching methods, curriculum and placements.

Placements: For our branch, the placements were not good compared to other branches. Various companies visited the campus, but the number of students selected was not high. The placement cell works hard, but if the students' involvement is more like in other government colleges, it would definitely do better.

Placements were disappointing. Bridge gap between industrial- educational courses.

Placements: Unfortunately, not many students were placed in the core companies, and this is the case with most of the universities. The mass recruiters took the majority of the students. Analyst job profiles were also in demand. The placement cell exists, but it can be more functional. The initiative has to be from the college side regarding internships. Unfortunately, I've no idea about the stipend offered to the students.

Thapar university, Worth the expenditure

Placements: Many students of my senior batch (7 out of 30) were placed in the third year itself, others were also placed with good packages. But at last it is your own hard work, cannot give full credit to the College. Computer and mechanical have very good placement.

A review of Thapar, batch of 2018.

Placements: At the time of writing this, 19/44 students have been placed with packages ranging from 3.5-8 LPA, averaging 5 LPA. Internships were quite less in number as compared to placement offers since Mechatronics (the majority of companies are unaware of the branch, subjects) was the main key reason. When it came to internships, Whirlpool, Schneider Electric, Deloitte LLP, Denso, EXL Analytics, Capgemini, BCH Electric, Tetra Pak were some companies which readily accepted the students. Internships were o...

A very reputed institute.

Placements: The placements were good for our senior batch. The students bagged an average package of 8-9 LPA. I am currently in 3rd year, i.e. 5th semester so my placements will start next semester that is the 6th semester. So I cannot tell you about my placements currently.

Overview of life at Thapar.

Placements: Almost there are 86% of placements. Most of the seniors were placed. 60 LPA was the highest package. TCS, Infosys and much more visited the college. Students were given an average package of 3-4 lakhs PA. I have no idea about the stipend. Mostly the percentage of the placements were good.

Dissatisfied due to faculty

Placements: Placements are slightly dropping with the current average package of about 5-6 lakhs. Total students placed in COE is nearly 100% but on an average, it is 70%. Google and Amazon visited the college frequently. However, if you will study properly then ya you can also get a good package that is 1500000 plus.
