TIFR GS 2025: Admit Card, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus & Other Updates

After the declaration of the result, students whose name is shortlisted need to apply individually in the colleges which accepts this score. 

Each Subject Board, and each Center offering a particular programme in that Subject, has its own criteria for shortlisting. These may include not only the written test marks, but may take into account past academic performance, write-up submitted (if required in your subject), and recommendation letters at the appropriate stage.

Hence applicants are advised to apply in as many institutes as they can to increase their chances of getting admission. 

TIFR GS 2024 was successfully completed on December 10, 2023 in online mode. Applicants should note that the result of this exam is declared by exam conducting authorities normally after 45 days of conclusion of the exam.

This year TIFR GS 2024 results was released on February 17, 2024.

It is to be noted that TIFR GS results was released in online mode. After the declaration of results students need to check the cut off marks also. Those who selected in written results will be further invited to appear for an interview.

After the releasing of the answer key, applicants need to check and calculate their marks in the examination. The authorities will prepare the result of TIFR GS 2024 by evaluating the answer sheet of all the candidates. Applicants who secure the minimum passing marks will be shortlisted for counselling process by the Tata Institute of Fundamental & Research.

TIFR GS 2024 exam schedule has been released by the examination conducting authority. TIFR GS exam 2024 will be conducted on December 10 223, Sunday. 

In the morning session Physics, Chemistry, and Computer & Learning, Information and Data Sciences, and MSc (Wildlife Biology & Conservation) will be conducted from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.

In the afternoon session Biology (JGEEBILS) and Mathematics & Science Education will be conducted.

The TIFR GS exam is a national-level entrance test conducted by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) for admission to its graduate programs in biology, chemistry, computer and systems science, mathematics, physics, and Science 

TIFR GS 2024 online registration started on October 3, 2023 by the examination conducting authority. The complete process was online and candidates needed to check the minimal elibility criteria before filling up the TIFR GS 2024 online application form.

The online application portal was opened for registrations for around a month and the last date for filling up the form was November 2, 2023. It was recommended that applicants should use a desktop/laptop since some links could not work on mobile browsers.

Please note that details once updated in the basic registration (name, date of birth, mobile number, email id, SSC details, subject, programme etc.) could not be further modified. 

TIFR GS Eligibility Criteria 2024 for Physics

The TIFR GS 2024 admit card will be released on November 20, 2023 in the online mode on the official website of the TIFR GS 2024.

After the release of TIFR GS 2024 admit card, you can download it from the TIFR GS website by entering your login credentials. It is important to note that the TIFR GS admit card is a mandatory document that you must carry with you to the exam hall. If you do not have your admit card, you will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.

To fill the TIFR GS application form, follow these steps:

1. Go to the TIFR GS website and click on the "Begin Application" link.
2. Create an account or log in to your existing account.
3. Fill in the basic details such as your name, date of birth, contact information, and educational qualifications.

The institute does not prescribe any set pattern for the TIFR GS exam for Physics and Chemistry courses. However, the official website informs that the papers for both the subjects will contain multiple-choice questions that candidates need to complete in three hours duration. Also, there will be a negative marking scheme in the exam.

TIFR GS 2022 exam pattern for Mathematics is such that the paper will be divided into two parts. While Part I will be an objective test containing 30 true/ false questions, Part II will be a subjective test containing 10 questions. The total duration of the exam will be three hours. Note: “Only Part I will be graded for all applicants. Based on a suitable cutoff, approximately 100 top candidates will be chosen for the next step of evaluation. The answer booklets for Part II will be graded only for these chosen candidates, ” informs the official website.

TIFR GS exam pattern for Computer & Systems Sciences is such that the paper will contain multiple-choice questions that candidates need to attempt in a duration of three hours. The paper will be divided into three parts as shown in the table below:

Note: Among parts B and C, candidates need to attempt questions of any one part only, informs the official website.

Marking Scheme: There will be negative marking in the exam for incorrect answers.

Applicants are required to login with the user id & password to check their result. If applicants are unable to find their login credentials then they must check their email id or their message in which they got their details after their registeration. 

After entering the details the result will be displayed on the front end. Applicants are advised to download the TIFR GS result 2024 for future reference. 

TIFR GS 2024 answer key for the TIFR GS exam was released on January 9, 2024 in online mode. The answer key was released in pdf file along with questions. Candidates need to visit the official website and download the question paper for their specific subjects.

According to the students who appeared in the TIFR GS 2024 exam, the questions were more analytical in nature rather than direct questions. Though it can be said that questions were easy in comparison to previous years. Some questions were repeated from other Science related exams i.e GATE, JEST etc. Eventually all these factors will help in deciding the TIFR GS cutoff marks. Hence it can be concluded that the marks required for taking admission will be less.
