Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.E. / B.Tech programs at UNIRAJ?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Effectiveness of the Placement Cell for B.E./B.Tech Programs at UNIRAJ

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's an overview of the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.E./B.Tech programs at UNIRAJ:

    * No Placement Cell: Unfortunately, none of the students mentioned a dedicated placement cell or office responsible for handling placements.
    * Limited Recruitment: Students reported that companies rarely visited the campus for recruitment, and those who did often came from smaller organizations.
    * Average Salary Packages: While some students mentioned receiving satisfactory salary packages, others reported lower offers ranging from INR5 LPA to INR6 LPA.
    * Self-Initiative Required: As there is no placement cell, students often need to take the initiative to secure internships and jobs on their own.
    * Fewer Opportunities: Alumni noted that the college does not provide internship opportunities, leaving students to fend for themselves.

Overall, the placement scenario seems to be average, with limited recruitment opportunities and self-initiative required to secure a job. However, it's essential to note that individual experiences may vary depending on factors like branch, academic performance, and personal connections.

Remember, these observations are based on the collective feedback from students and alumni, providing a general idea of the placement situation at UNIRAJ. If you're considering admission to this institution, it's crucial to weigh these findings against your career aspirations and goals.

One of the best research course.
Placements: As the course is research-oriented, the college does not provide any placements. For placements and internships, we have to find an organisation and company. Almost everyone gets placed within a year after completing M.Tech from here. Many students went for a PhD degree from IITs, as they didn't want to go for a job.
Infrastructure: All necessary requirements of the students are fulfilled. We have air-conditioned labs, and Wi-Fi is available everywhere on campus. In the hostel, we have medical facilities, and there is also a dispensary on campus. All kinds of sports equipment and games are available, and students can take part in them. The quality of food is pretty good compared to other places.
Faculty: Professors here are very helpful. They even give personal attention to students. Knowledge in every field is provided in depth. The curriculum is fully suitable for a research field. We gain a lot of knowledge on how practical things will work. Semester exams are quite easy if we have attended lectures, as the test paper contains only logical questions. The pass percentage is above 95%.
Other: I personally chose this college for the value it adds to my CV, as it provides knowledge in four fields with one degree, which is quite interesting for anyone in their professional life. A placement cell would be a great addition for students. The campus crowd is not large, but events and fests are organised for students.

This campus is perfect for new students, who are willing to take admission in B.Tech.
Placements: There are 100 students in our Computer Science batch. The lowest salary package offered in my batch is 5 LPA. Recruiting companies are Google, Amazon, Facebook, Meta, etc. The top companies visit our campus. Around 75% of students from our batch got internships.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of this campus is excellent. Classrooms are well decorated along with Wi-Fi connection. Every facility is available in our hostel. The quality of the food is excellent and delicious. There are two canteens in our hostel.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-educated and knowledgeable. Teachers are very helpful. Faculty provide notes for the students to resolve their problems. Semester exams are easy. The pass percentage of our batch is 90%.

    Research based; big course.
Placements: Placements are almost non-existent because this is a research-based course. However, a good number of my seniors are working abroad or pursuing higher studies at renowned institutes like the IITs and NIMHANS. Internship opportunities are not provided, but the professors are willing to help students who are interested in pursuing research.
Infrastructure: The department is spacious but not clean. The classrooms are large, but some of the labs have broken equipment or equipment that has to be ordered. However, the lab equipment that is available works well enough for practical work. The labs are well-kept, unlike the classrooms.
Faculty: The curriculum might be revised to make it more fitting for students. Overall, it strengthens fundamentals, though it is a bit too vast to handle. The teachers are cooperative for the most part. Classes are held regularly for the first 2-3 semesters, then the schedule starts to fumble.

A really good place to gain knowledge in four different fields.
Placements: B.Tech course at the University of Rajasthan does not offer placement opportunities as it is a research-oriented course. Students must find placements on their own. They need to apply for jobs and internships independently. Some faculty members help in finding internships, but college does not have a proper placement cell.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the department is quite good. All necessary facilities, such as Wi-Fi and laboratory equipment, are better than those in private universities. Students have access to both the central library and department library. Apart from that, hostels for both boys and girls are in good condition, and mess food is average. Medical facilities and a sports department are available on campus. Students can participate in these activities as well.
Faculty: Faculty members here are well-educated and have excellent knowledge of the course. They are extremely helpful and, unlike what we hear about other colleges, they pay attention to every student's growth. Syllabus is quite similar to the research syllabus of Oxford University and provides the best knowledge in every field taught. This helps students in placements as they gain knowledge in various areas. Semester exams for theory papers are not that difficult if students have paid attention in class. Practical examinations are quite lengthy, but the practice sessions make them easier. The general pass percentage is 90%-92%.
Other: I chose this college because of the value of degree it holds. and for the knowledge. It provides in the research fields of information technology and nanotechnology. If a placement cell were established here, it would enhance the quality of this course, as students have good knowledge but must find jobs on their own. Campus activities include sports events, as well as tech fests and seminars related to the course.

I am satisfied with college culture and facilities there is no problem for students in this campus.
Placements: There are 50 students in our batch in B.Tech Computer Science branch. The highest package is 17 LPA and the lowest is 2 LPA. Top recruiters are Infosys, Zordialetc. 80% of students got internships in the course. Software development roles are mostly offered in our course.
Infrastructure: Well-settled classrooms, good furniture, good facility of water. The canteen and labs have all departments, and there is good Wi-Fi connectivity in every department. There are cultural programs every year. In sports, there is good equipment for students to play games, and modern grounds increase the beauty of games.
Faculty: Faculty is good enough for students, whether they are well in studies or not. The friendly nature of teachers enthuses the students' mindset to study freely. Regular classes are taken. Semester exams are tough enough, but if students attend regular classes, then no exam is hard to study for.
Other: I have an interest in technology, so I chose IT to pursue my dreams. One thing that could be improved is to increase the value of labs or experiments, rather than book knowledge.
