Q:   Which one is better among Hyderabad University and Delhi University?

A:
In terms of university rankings for all technical and non-technical institutions in India, HCU is much superior than DU. It is ranked 10th, closely followed by BHU. The Chemistry Department at HCU is renowned for both its academic brilliance and its research atmosphere. According to what I've read, the department conducts a lot of research that is published in prestigious publications and at the university. I vouch for the University of Hyderabad as a fantastic learning environment with all the conveniences. The university's terrible food is its sole flaw.

Integrated M.A. in Economics - Batch of 2029

Curriculum and campus environment are good.
Placements: In the IMA program, Economics is the only subject with good placement opportunities. Last year in 2023, 8 students got placed with salary package of 14 LPA. If one has done a Masters in Financial Economics and studies, then chances of getting placed are high. With a Master's in General Economics, the university's placement cell can offer internships in public sector organizations like NITI Aayog and RBI. IMA Economics (Financial) is a good option. IMA Economics (general) is a decent option and IMA (other subject ) is not a good option for placement purposes.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is amazing. Over 2300 acres campus with good connectivity, free bus service, advanced department building, and classrooms. Big and decent library which is 24/7 open. Full-time Wi-Fi is available in all public areas, including the shopping complex, hostels, lecture halls, and departments. Hostel rooms are good we have to share a room with one of our roommates. All other basic facilities are available such as gym, stadium, and sports complex for almost all indoor and outdoor sports. Reading rooms are available 24/7 at every corner of campus. IGM Library is the best among them. Mess food is good. Canteens are everywhere with affordable and high-quality food. Health center is available for any health issues. Good Infrastructure for gym and almost all indoor and outdoor sports.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. We have to manage classes in English. There is a little bit problem with crowded classrooms in elective subjects. Course curriculum is good and relevant, it provides real-world applications of every topic. But elective subjects courses provide students with less knowledge. Master's curriculum is well-designed. They conduct workshops for programming language and other placement-related courses. But after all, we have to prepare ourselves for all of these courses through online courses and other material.
Other: I chose this course because I was very enthusiastic about Economics from my school days. University is very far away from my home, so it was a difficult decision, but in the end, I chose it. Festivals and events are regularly organized by different schools and departments. Campus crowd is very diverse, it has students and professors from almost all corners of the country. Campus is at a prominent location of Hyderabad. Very close to almost all MNCs and other IT companies like Wipro, and TCS. University provides a scholarship of Rs. 1000 per month for those who qualify criteria. There are some extracurricular activities like competitions, student union politics, etc.

Absolutely satisfied because of environment, nature, study, circumstances and everything
Placements: Actually, there is no campus placement available in the Hindi Department of the University of Hyderabad. Yes, but after completing an M.A. in Hindi degree from the University of Hyderabad, the best career options you can get, such as Ph.D., Lectureship, PGT Hindi Teacher, Rajbhasha Adhikari, etc. As your problem-solving skills improve, career opportunities naturally follow.
Infrastructure: The hostel and course infrastructure is 10 out of 10. 1st of all, UOH comes under the top 10 most beautiful universities of India. You will love the nature. Wi-Fi, water, electricity availability is 24*7. You can go to the labs, library, or study center anytime; it is open for 24 hours. AC is also available in the library, labs, and study center. There is a hospital within the campus. Food quality and availability is also 10 out of 10. You can get as much food as you want.
Faculty: It's a central university, so you have to pay a very less amount for your course, and yes, you will get a monthly scholarship also (if your parents' annual income is not more than 8,00,000). The teachers are also very friendly in nature. They behave like friends, philosophers, and guides. If you are attending class regularly, you won't have to study last night before the exam. The exam process makes the semester very easy.
Other: Seriously, the campus life is the most beautiful part of my life. You can explore many things and places within the campus like Mushroom Rock, High Rock, Peacock Lake, Virgin Rock, etc. There are also 3/4 gyms inside the campus.

The Placement Circus @SMS
Placements: Arround 23% students get the campus placements from the college. University of Hyderabad is the best option among all Central Universities but School of Management Studies for MBA Business Analytics is lacking somewhere. Placement records for particularly from Business Analytics is not much impressive because of many reasons. Lacking of practical knowledge or other also.
Infrastructure: Course curriculum is very good. It makes you industry ready for entering the corporate world. Subjects like - Text analytics, Predictive analytics, Business Economic and others are very useful subjects.Hostel facilities are very good in University of Hyderabad. But if you are coming from North India then you will face a challenge for mess food.
Faculty: Faculty are well qualified but the college is dependent for guest faculty for some main analytics subjects. Course distribution semester wise is not justified. 1st , 2nd and 3rd semester there are 10 or 11 subjects but in final semester there is only 1 .
Other: No one in the college is interested in the placements of Business Analytics students.

Excellent infrastructure and diverse campus life, but academic rigour and placements could improve.
Placements: Around every student gets placed by the end of the course. With on-campus placement, 30+ companies visit the campus and conduct campus drives. With an overall strength of 40+, the placement percentage is more than 80% on campus, and the average CTC offered is 8+ LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good but not the best, and overall, the campus facilities are the best campus according to the place, and the greenery is very good around the hostels and buildings. Hostels are not in that good condition as they were built in the late 1980s or nearby years. But the library is good, and everything about studies is good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in most of the cases, but if they are not able to help them, they will suggest anything else. But the syllabus should be updated, and the exams are above average tough as the semester timing is 4 months, and you have to manage everything.
Other: Campus life is the best as the campus is so huge, and the enormous greenery gives the fresh air, and the events are the best, plus the course curriculum should improve according to the industry.

Satisfied with faculty, but administration is poor.
Placements: Appearing in 2025 placements interview. 30 Lacs per annum. Google, Microsoft, etc. As of now, we are not doing any internships, and even my college is not offering any kind of internships. Apart from all your questions, my college has a good reputation.
Infrastructure: Bad condition of infrastructure and technology, provided by the administration, buildings are in worse condition in my school, but the library is the finest place where students rush to. The mess condition is even worse, but the quality of food sanitation is good.
Faculty: Knowledge faculty, well-reputed professors, highly qualified, good teaching skills. Our courses are prepared by professors themselves, that sharpen the students and provide good training for the students to enter the economic e-society.
Other: University doesn't value money; that administration thinks all students can afford the fees, the finest which is imposed by us. Poor conditions of infrastructure are not looked out for by the administration. Scholarships are provided, that even students cannot afford, not helping students to fulfill their basic needs.

Q:   What should be the score in CAT exam to get admission in University of Hyderabad for pursuing MBA?

A:
To get admission to the University of Hyderabad's MBA programme, you need to have a valid score in the Common Admission Test CAT conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (Iims). However, the CAT score is only one of the many factors that are considered during the admission process. The university also takes into account your academic background, work experience (if any), and performance in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. There is no fixed minimum CAT score required for admission to the University of Hyderabad's MBA programme, as the cutoff varies each year based on various factors such as the number of applicants, their CAT scores, and the seats available. Generally, a CAT score of around 80 percentile or above would be considered competitive for admission to the University of Hyderabad's MBA programme. However, this is only a rough estimate, and the actual cutoff may be higher or lower depending on the factors mentioned earlier. It is essential to note that while a good CAT score can increase your chances of getting admission, it is not the only deciding factor. Therefore, it is essential to prepare thoroughly for the GD and PI rounds and have an impressive academic and professional profile to increase your chances of securing a seat in the University of Hyderabad's MBA programme.
