PUCAT 2025 Exam: Dates, Fees, Registration, Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

It is expected that PUCAT 2025 registrations will start in March 2025. However, the exam body has not announced the dates yet. For PUCAT 2024, applications opened in March 2024. The last date to apply was extended until June 2024. 

The PUCAT 2025 admit card will tentatively be released towards the end of June 2025 while the exam is likely to be conducted in July 2025.

Yes. Candidates can avail the PUCAT application form at the university and can also download the PUCAT application form and submit it. In order to seek admission in MSc Biochemistry candidates will be required to apply and appear for the Purvanchal University Combined Admission Test (PUCAT) to get admission to the university. To pursue Mass Communication M.A (Mass Communication) through PUCAT, candidates need to be a graduate in any discipline with 45% marks. 5% relaxation for SC/ST students. The duration of Mass Communication MA (Mass Communication) course is of 2 Years. PUCAT is usually held in three shifts -

First Shift- 9:00 am to 11:00 am

Second Shift- 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm

Third Shift- 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. 

The Purvanchal University Combined Admission Test (PUCAT) is conducted by the Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University in order to offer students admission in various postgraduate courses. The exam is conducted annually and it is through qualifying PUCAT, that candidates are granted admission to the varsity. Through PUCAT, candidates can get admission in MBA, MA and MSc courses. The mode of the exam is offline and the medium of the entrance exam is English.

In order to pursue MSc (Biotechnology), candidates should be a Science graduate with a minimum of 50% of marks, from a recognised University (45% in case of SC/ST). Candidates appearing in final examination of B.Sc. (Biology/Life Sciences/ BVSc & AH/ MBBS/ B.Pharm/ Mathematics and related subjects) degree are also eligible for admission and can appear in the Entrance Test.

Yes. Candidates can apply for MA through PUCAT if they have completed their BA in Political Science. In order to pursue MA through PUCAT, candidates are required to meet the required eligibility criteria. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for the MA at the official website of the exam as well on Shiksha page. The candidate should be a graduate from any stream and should have secured a minimum of 45% in their graduation from a recognised board.

Yes, candidates are supposed to register to appear for the PUCAT exam. After the application process, candidates are provided an application form number which they can use to log in and check the details such as admit card and results. To pursue Faculty of Management Studies B Com (Hons) through PUCAT, candidates should have done Higher Secondary Certificate (10+2) or equivalent in any discipline from any recognised Board established by the law with a minimum aggregate score of 40% for UR/OBC and 33% for SC/ST. Candidates interested to pursue Applied Psychology should be a graduate in any discipline with 45% marks. 5% relaxation for SC/ST students. However, candidates should refer the SHiksha's page or the official website of the exam to know more about PUCAT exam.

To pursue MBA through PUCAT, candidates should have obtained at least 45% marks in aggregate in the Graduation (10+2+3 or 10+2+4) or equivalent in any discipline from any recognized University/ Institute/ College established by the law. 5% relaxation in case of SC/ST candidates. Candidates with graduation in any discipline with a minimum one year of managerial/administrative/technical work experience in corporate field are also eligible for MBA through PUCAT.

To pursue MBA (Agri Business) through PUCAT, candidates should have obtained at least 45% marks in graduation in Agriculture/ Agricultural Engineering/ Animal Husbandry / Dairy Science/ Fisheries/Forestry/ Food technology / Horticulture /Veterinary
Sciences /Botany & Zoology from any recognised University/ Institute/ College established by the law. 5% relaxation in case of SC/ST candidates.

Candidates need to carry the following documents for PUCAT counselling:

• Degree Certificate of Graduation (if applicable).

The eligibility criteria of M.A. Women’s Studies is that candidates should have a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised University with 50% and 45% in case of SC/ST. The total fees of M.A. Women’s Studies is INR 14,450.

To pursue BSc (Bio Group), candidates should have passed/ appearing in 10+2 or Equivalent examination with Biology as one of the subject with any subject’s combination from any recognised board. Once released, candidates will be able to check PUCAT result at the official website of the exam. Registered candidates who appeared for the PUCAT exam will be required to visit the official website of the V.B.S Purvanchal University in order to check the PUCAT results. In order to download the PUCAT admit card, you must visit VBSPU's official website. Then go to the 'Admissions' section. Under the PUCAT (Academic Year) section, you will find the admit card link. When you click on it, you will be required to enter your application number and password. Your admit card will be displayed on this screen. From here, you can download and print it to carry it to the exam centres.

No, you must produce a physical printout of the PUCAT admit card to the invigilators at the exam centre along with a valid photo ID or else you won't be allowed to take the exam.

It might cause a problem if the names on the application form and admit card do not match. If you are certain that you entered the right spellings while applying, contact the exam body and have it corrected before you appear for the exam.
