VIT Chennai MCA Experience (2022 Batch).
Placements: MCA course at VIT is good. Around 50% of students have been placed as of now. The highest package was 25 LPA. The average package is around 7 LPA. The lowest is around 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are NetApp, Nokia, Deloitte, Cisco, etc. Top roles offered were SDE intern and full-time roles were also offered.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is provided; speed is around 4 Mbps. We have decent labs. Classrooms do not have A.C. They only provide hostel facilities to girl students of the 2022 batch. There are a lot of places where we can eat like North Square, Gazebo, Gymkhana. The quality of food was very good.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful. Only a few teachers were boring. Most of the teachers who were teaching the subject had relevant knowledge. The course curriculum is mostly relevant except for some of the subjects. The curriculum does make the students industry-ready. Semester exams pass rate is around 90%.

The college has good faculty members and placements in 2019.
Placements: Almost all batch got placed. The highest salary package offered was 22 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was about 3 LPA. Companies like Data Scientist and Amazon are the top recruiters of our college. In our course, the average salary package offered was 3.5 to 4 LPA. Almost 75% of the students got an internship from our course, and there were many companies like Infosys, Matricom, Tech Mahindra, 3D printing, FL Smith, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was very useful at that time, but it was only 15 GB per month. Labs were pretty good, and internet labs were the best for searching and learning things at college time. Classrooms were not that much good, and sometimes seats were not cleaned or not empty. The library was the best in our college because they give you time from morning to night 11:30 to learn and study. Food is not so good at my time. The medical facility is also not good.
Faculty: All the teachers here were very helpful and knowledgeable. I like some teachers for their knowledge and the way of teaching. The course curriculum was relevant, but I don't like accounts. Some teachers were not up to the mark, but at last, all have great knowledge and experience. They all are PhD holders, so they are knowledgeable.

Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai Campus, You were a game changer in my life!
Placements: Hi there, I must choosing VIT was the best step in my life to shape my career. I opted for MCA which is a 2 years degree course. We were 90 students in MCA 2017-2019 batch. The highest package was 10Lac CTC and almost everyone got placed with a minimum package of 3.5Lac CTC. Companies like Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Dell, Fico came good packages while there were companies with regular package too minimum of 3.5Lac CTC.
Infrastructure: VIT provides 20 GB of free internet Wi-Fi. There's a cycle which goes on where your internet data gets filled every next month. We never had any complains on internet speed. We were allowed to register 2 devices. There were basically 3 mess in our hostel North Mess, South Mess, Special Mess.
Faculty: In my career, VIT has given a lot of expose in terms of technology, team building, team work. Teachers a highly qualified and are very good at what they teach. Almost every Professor in VIT is a Ph.D. holder. The courses introduce in VIT are quite new for the students as well new in the market too where the research and development is going on so, this is given me a lot of knowledge to understand things better. For example cloud, big data - hadoop, AI automation, machine learning were the key focuses during my Post Graduation. Apart from this you get to research and development projects too in VIT.
Other: I took MCA because I wanted to explore more domains in technology and wanted to learn to integrate the same on one platform which I did too. VIT will give a 'N' number of opportunities every where for internships, seminars, webinars, digital assignment, codeathons where a student can actually grow and nurture himself. There a multiple fests that keep on happening in VIT but they are mainly organized by UG students.
