Good engineering college for people who wish to learn practical application along with theory.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful when it comes to clearing doubts about the topics taught. They are enthusiastic in sharing additional knowledge related to the subject to throw light on daily life applications. This is helpful as students can understand and relate to the content rather than just mugging the concepts.

An insight from the inside of VIT.

Faculty: Each faculty member here has a doctorate from a reputable university. They teach in a very friendly manner. There are some faculty who don't teach well, but they provide us with sufficient knowledge. The course curriculum for the first year is not up to industry standards, as students are required to study physics and chemistry, but it gets better from the second year, where core subjects are included. The curriculum from the second year on is industry-relevant and on par with industry needs. Th...

A journey of ups and downs of the college life of a student.

Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified and they help us in every situation. They make us understand through practical applications so that we can do things in a better way. The course curriculum is relevant to the demands in the companies. There are a lot of exams in our college but the level of exams is on the easy side.

Read this before getting into VIT.

Faculty: Our faculty members are doctorates and Ph.D. holders. They are toppers of their batches and passed out from renowned colleges across the world. They are helpful and guide students in all situations where they need assistance. The course curriculum is very relevant because it offers 1,000 courses among which we are allowed to choose the course that we'd like to pursue. The curriculum allows us to explore new fields and improve our skills. Semester exams are set in a moderate way and sometimes har...

Review of VIT - A paradise.

Faculty: Teachers here are highly skilled and have PhD. They are of good quality. Course curriculum is relevant only after the second year. In the first year, they make one study the basics of all other courses. There are exams every month, which are very hard. Pass percentage is 80%-90%.

VIT - A place to learn and grow.

Faculty: All teachers present here are well-knowledgeable. They teach students in a way where one would get an interest in the topic. The course curriculum is relevant and provides a fair amount of knowledge and practice to make students industry-ready. Semester exams are pretty hard to score high marks but it is pretty enough to clear the course. The pass percentage is around 95% for our course.

Review of Vellore Institute of Technology - Chennai Campus.

Faculty: Every professor in our college is highly qualified with a PhD in at least one subject. Their teaching techniques are really good. The difficulty of exams is moderate would be the most appropriate way to describe it. The pass percentage is above 80%.

Absolutely amazed by infrastructure and facilities.

Faculty: The faculty here is good, but there are some exceptions also. The teachers here are highly qualified in their field, and their teaching style is great too. The course curriculum here makes a student ready for an industry, and these curricula are relevant too. If you want to opt for some electives about your interest, you can take that too. They also have a fully flexible credit system which allows you to create your own timetable according to you. Here, there are three exams taken per semester: ...

Very good college, definitely go for it, good placements and facilities.

Faculty: The semester exams are really tough. You need to know your subject matter in order to score well. Only PowerPoints will be given by the faculty. You have to take notes and prepare for your exam. You need to pay attention during class.

At present, okay with the college; have to see in the future.

Faculty: Not all faculties are good; a few of them teach well, but the rest are very bad. I don't think that this type of teaching makes students industry-ready. Semester examinations are difficult enough for a normal student, and the pass percentage will be around 80%, my guess.

It is all false advertising.

Faculty: The teachers are useless but knowledgeable. Their quality of teaching is 3rd class at best. The curriculum is industry-ready, but the way they teach it is not. The difficulty of the semester paper depends on the mood of the teacher and the class average. If the class average is high, the chances of getting a tough paper are high.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is very relevant. Students may not be ready for the industry. Semester exams are difficult to score good marks in the college. The pass percentage is around 40.

Come only if you get 1st or 2nd category or go to normal colleges with learning good skills.

Faculty: Faculty isn't good. No, it doesn't do it in the 1st year. Exams are of 2 levels: easy and difficult. CAT 1 would be easy, but CAT 2 would be somewhat difficult. Semester exams are similar to CAT 1. Lab exams are also similar to other colleges. We may get course-related curriculum from next year.

WHY VIT CHENNAI WHILE COMPARING FOR PLACEMENTS?!?!

Faculty: The teachers here are really helpful, though most of them are Tamil teachers. They are good and humble to help you out. Just make sure not to mess things with them. The course is relevant, and the curriculum is updated every semester. And even mechanical people are taught about AI and stuff, but at a basic level.
