Top-notch Placements and Infrastructure, Highly Recommended

Placements: Top recruiting companies such as TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Siemens, L&T, and Qualcomm were among the top recruiters for the EEE course. Roles commonly offered include Electrical Design Engineer, System Analyst, Software Developer, and Embedded Systems Engineer.

A journey of ups and downs of the college life of a student.

Placements: More than 80% students get placed in our department. The highest package offered was 1 Crore for an international company and 59 Lacs was the domestic package. More than 500+ companies visit our college with top companies being Deloitte, Infosys, TCS, Mahindra, etc. I don't remember the exact percentage of students who got internships, but companies do come to recruit the students based on the skillsets.

Don't fall for the high ranking of the college and its tier-two status.

Placements: A very few students get placed Every year. Even the job roles they get are within 3.5LPA. The major company that come for M.Sc. Data science students is Syngen which is a pharmaceutical company. The highest package our seniors got is 3.5LPA. However, majority of them managed to get an internship.

Our campus life is average.

Placements: Almost 100% of students got placed in our course. The average salary package offered ranges from 5 LPA - 6 LPA. Internships are provided by many top companies like Dell and Microsoft.

I am decently satisfied, but I suggest you not to keep extreme expectations as this is not an IIT.

Placements: About 100% of the students who attend placements will get a job from here, as this is the main feature of VIT. But the quality of those jobs is not really good unless you have a good CGPA and are good at extracurricular activities. Usually, CSE-related companies visit here for placements. Software engineer, etc., roles are offered here.

A review of Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai.

Placements: Placements in the college were above average for both our batch and senior batch. Overall, around 70% of the students were placed. The highest salary package offered was 23 LPA and the minimum salary package offered was 2.80 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, PayPal, Hyundai, Maruti, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Vodafone, Xiaomi, etc., visited the campus for placements. Students have to apply on their own for internships which are generally unpaid.

Over hyped college because of misguided college ranking.

Placements: The first thing you will hear is that VIT has 100% placements, but it's a twisted fact. Most of students are placed in IT companies. The placements we're conducted mainly at Vellore campus. The number of companies coming for core mechanical average but with comparison to the number of students it seemed very less. Companies package ranged from 2.4 LPA to 8lpa while the average salary ranged between 4 to 4.5lpa. Companies which visited the campus included some big names like Lam Research, Honda, ...

Collage is best for those who can work hard themselves and is ready to spend around 20 lakhs.

Placements: Placements of our batch this year was average (better than last year).100% students were placed but most importantly this 100% is of no use.Once we join the college, our aim is not only to be placed but to get better package as well. This year highest package was 24lakh (round off figure) that was from CSE branch for Chennai Campus and lowest package was of 2.2 lakh.Approx all the companies come to the college but all they need is talent and hard working guys which is far more important. In the int...

Very good infrastructure and faculty but isn't worth the amount of money you are going to pay.

Placements: Placements, I think are about 95%. But most of the placements are from the bulk companies. It's hard to get a job in core companies unless you have CGPA above "8". Most of the people from Chennai campus rely more on competitive exams for further studies like GATE GRE etc.

Good for Placement but 'No College Life'.

Placements: Placements are good in VIT. An average student can get package of around 4-5 Lacs. If you have the capability then it provides you the platform to place even in dream and super dream companies like Amazon, Honda. Mass placement is also good companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Infosys comes for the mass recruitment.

Only good for CSE and ECE abd not for Mech and Civil.

Placements: The placements honestly are pretty low (3-3.5 Lacs/annum) for the branches like Mech, Civil and EEE but for the branches like CSE and ECE the placements are quite well when compared to other branches. Placement rate is almost 100% noticing the fact that most of the placements are in IT companies. VIT do give a lot of chances to do internship in India and abroad (Student Abroad programme). Placement is combined for Vellore and Chennai.

A law school without democratic spirit.

Placements: As of today when I am writing this review, the first batch of the law school is still in its 4th year and the placement will happen only after 12 months. The management says that only the mass recruiters like Infosys, TCS, etc., and a few third tier law firms will be coming over here for recruitment. The management hasn't been answering our queries regarding the same, and there is no official word from their side regarding the same. We are still waiting for our senior batch to go through the pro...

Vellore Institute of Technology is only for undergraduate students.

Placements: Placements were pretty bad. Less than 10 students were placed from our batch. Placements are good only for undergraduate students. Postgraduate students are not preferred by the multi-national companies. Companies like Cisco, Google, and Facebook only ask for B.Tech students.

Too many restrictions. Better join the main campus if given an option.

Placements: Well, the college provides 100% placement and good Companies like Microsoft, Dell, oracle, Maq, Deloitte come and hire a good number of students. These companies offer internships as well full time to the students. The stipend varies from company to company (7000 - 60000 pm). The average salary is 6-8 LPA. The highest package offered in 2016 batch was 22 LPA and lowest was 3.5 LPA.

You can get an opportunity to learn.

Placements: About 90% of my seniors got placed and the highest package offered to one of my senior was 20 LPA from Amazon. On an average, 3-4 LPA was offered by Mass recruiters like CTS, TCS and Infosys. All IT giants are visiting our campus every year which includes amazon, flipchart, eBay, Microsoft and mass recruiters like TCS, CTS and Infosys giving a good number of offer letters.

It is a good college but not better than VIT Vellore. The life at Vellore is way too good than Chennai. Being the first batch of this college, we faced many problems initially and the facilities were not up to the mark what they were in Vellore. But I think it may have improved in these years. About college life, I would like to say more restrictions are imposed on students. They are not allowed to enjoy and live like a college life. About placements, they are average. Some good placements are a...

Education wise, it’s an excellent college, providing all the facilities you need. Socially, it’s one of the worst. No campus life at all. Too much focus on studies and extra-curricular activities are almost neglected. Its tag line is "home away from home", which is ridiculous. Boys can still have a lot of fun, but it’s a Jail for girls, with idiotic and non-sense rules. Placements are average.

BHC is a government aided college and provided with good infrastructure and skilled faculty. It is an autonomous college and the course structure is framed in such a way that the students gain 360 degree understanding of the concepts and compete in the job market. The fee structure is not expensive and it is worth to do undergraduate courses at BHC. Moreover, there are 7 hostels (4 mens hostels and 3 girls hostels).

My college overall Review.

Placements: The average salary package is around 8.5 LPA. Almost all companies visit. If students are good at studies and can apply their knowledge in real life, then there is a high chance of your placement. Top companies like Infosys, TCS, etc., visit the college for placements.

VIT, on an overall basis, is a good college. The first-year students' classes are currently online.

Placements: The course started only in the year 2020, so placements are sort of unknown and inconclusive. The course allows two years abroad at a prestigious institution. Students who choose Rochester University are likely to find placements abroad. Placement details will be out next year.
