STARS (Support the Advancement of Rural Students Scheme) helps students from underprivileged backgrounds of Tamil Nadu/ Andra Pradesh to achieve their dreams by giving them a 100% fee waiver for their academic, hostel and basic medical expenses. Top boys and girls from Rural Government schools are shortlisted for the scheme. Additionally, VIT scholarships are available to only those students who have secured a rank under 1,000 in the VITEEE examination. The scholarship ranges from 25-100% of fees depending upon the rank of the student in the qualifying examination. Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination is conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology every year for admission to undergraduate engineering courses (BTech) of participating institutes. VITEEE is a computer-based test. Every year, VITEEE is held to enrol students in various UG courses. Around two Lacs students apply for VITEEE every year. All the eligible candidates will be offered admission to BTech course at VIT Bhopal.

VIT Bhopal offers BTech programme under 14 specialisations including Mechanical Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Robotics), ECE (Artificial Intelligence & Cybernetics), CSE (Cyber Security & Digital Forensics), CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning), CSE (Cloud Computing & Automation), Aerospace Engineering and Electrical and Electronics. To be selected for BTech at VIT Bhopal for the above specialisations, the candidates need to take Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VIEEE). The exam is conducted annually and the exam fee is INR 1,350.

Aspirants need to qualify VITEEE for BTech admission. VITEEE is a computer-based test conducted for BTech course. After completion of the selection rounds, the aspirants are called for counselling. VIT will verify the eligibility of candidates after completing the tuition fee payment on or before the stipulated date.
