From BCom Dreams to AI Realities: My Path to BCA

Choosing the right college and course was not easy for me. I was from the Commerce background. So, my obvious plan was to do BCom followed by MBA after Class 12. But in Class 12, I started gaining interest in Technology. I read about companies making use of AI and Data Science tools to make smart decisions. This made me think if I can do the same or not. After a lot of research, I decided to pursue BCA in AI and Data Science at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University). I chose this college because it was known for its practical exposure.

Unlocking the Power of AI

Switching from Commerce to Technology was a huge leap for me as I had zero experience with Coding. Honestly, I was worried. I thought, I would not be able to do it. But, I wanted to challenge myself. The thing that motivated me to choose BCA in AI and Data Science was the fact that it allows us to combine creativity with logic building. I will never forget the time when I worked on my first project that included analyzing data to make predictions. Working on the project made me feel really amazing and unreal. The idea that AI can be used to solve big problems, whether in business or even global issues, keeps me motivated to learn more.

A New Me: My Transformation at Graphic Era

The Graphic Era Hill University has changed me for good. I was an introvert, but, this place and the people here made me come out of my nutshell. The faculty is so friendly and helpful. They clear each and every doubt we have. Every basic amenity is available at the hostels in the University and the mess serves amazing food.

Tech Club, Teamwork, and Real-Life Applications

I am also a part of the Tech club in the college. I love being a part of the club as we do small projects, brainstorm ideas, and discuss trends in AI there. This helped me learn how to work as a team and solve various problems together. I always wait for the weekly programming classes, since, they are application-based. I enjoy making the connection between theory and real-life problems.

Why Graphic Era?

It was quite simple to get into Graphic Era. Fortunately, I did not have to appear for any entrance examination. Admission was based on the scores obtained in Class 12. One thing that I loved about this college was that instead of focusing on theory only, the college always focused on helping the students to understand and develop the latest skills in demand in the industry. Since, I had checked out other colleges too, none of them actually provided all things together: good academics, good practical life and a really nice campus overall.

Learning and Growing: My Journey So Far

Looking back, I am really glad, I chose this. The things have not always been easy. But any difficulty that has happened has helped me to learn something new and great. I figured out how to manage my time better and also how to deal with setbacks and problems. I am excited for the next part of this journey!
