Banaras Hindu University releases the UG and PG semester exam results on its official website. Mentioned below are the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) guidelines for new and existing students on how to check the BHU B.Ed result and various other course semester exam results. Any caste, region, religion students can apply for admission to various courses at BHU. Any caste student must fulfill the eligibility criteria and take admission. BHU admission to most of the courses is entrance-based, hence it is compulsory to appear for the CUET-UG/ CUET-PG entrance exams to get admission to BHU undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The university also accepts other entrance exam such as NEET, GATE, CAT, etc. for admission to specific courses. Hence, aspirants need to appear for the accepted entrance-exam and also meet the course-specific eligibility for admission at BHU.

Q:   Who is eligible for BCom Honours course admission at BHU?

A:

BHU offers a three-year full-time BCom (Hons) course at the undergraduate level. Candidates seeking admission must visit the official website of the university to apply online. To be eligible for BHU BCom (Hons) courses, candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam with Commerce/ Economics/ Maths/ Computer Science/ Finance/ Financial Markets Management/ Vocational Courses (related to commerce) as one of the subjects with a minimum aggregate of 50%. The minimum age limit to apply for this course should not be more than 22 years on 1st July of the admission year (applicant should be born on or after 2nd July of 2001). 

Step 3: Enter the details as required like email Id, roll number, and others. 

Step 4: Click on submit, and then download the scorecard as and when it appears on the screen.

BHU Semester Exam Schedule 2023

Usually for the odd semesters, the exam registration forms are out in the month of October and must be filled by the first week of November. BHU releases the exam schedule one month or half prior to the actual exam date. Any notification regarding the change in the exam schedule will be communicated to the students via the BHU result official website.

The BHU semester exam result pattern is like any other university or college. After downloading the semester exam result from the official website, candidates must go through all the details mentioned there in the scorecard. Q:   Do I have to take an entrance exam to pursue a PhD in English Literature from BHU?

A:
BHU offers Ph.D. courses in different subjects like Bengali, English Hindi Sanskrit, Mathematics etc. To be eligible for these courses, candidates need to have scored at least 55% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in the relevant subject at postgraduate level. Bhu conducts its entrance exam I. e BHU RET to select students for their Ph.D. courses. The selection of the student is based on the merit obtained in the BHU RET.

Q:   Who is eligible to apply for MBBS in BHU?

A:

The eligibility criteria define the minimum requirements that MBBS course aspirants need to fulfil to get admission. Thus, to be eligible, an aspirant must be a Class 12 or equivalent pass with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry. Biology) and English from a recognised Board/University. Additionally, the candidate should have passed the exam with a minimum of 50% aggregate (PCBE) for the General Category, 40% for OBC (non-creamy layer)/SC/ST and 45% for PC in General Category).

Q:   Can I join BHU without CUET?

A:

Yes, Banaras Hindu University accepts CUET-UG entrance exam scores for admission to BA (Hons) course. Earlier, admission to the UG course was through BHU UET. Moreover, only the candidates who have valid CUET-UG scores become eligible to register for the counselling round. The CUET application process is carried out in online mode (cuet.samarth.ac.in). Further, NTA conducts CUET-UG 2024 entrance test. The exam is scheduled between May 15 and May 31.

Q:   Does BHU accept admission through CUET?

A:

Yes, Banaras Hindu University is accepting CUET score for multiple UG courses, including BA (Hons), BCom (Hons) BSc (Hons), etc. The university is also offering admission to its PG courses based on merit in CUET-PG. Aspirants who meet the eligibility requirements can register on the BHU admission portal for counselling. The admission is done in order of merit based on the normalised score of the CUET (PG) and reservation policy as per the provisions laid down in the BHU PET Information Brochure.

BHU Semester Exam Past Year Results

BHU is ranked 56 by NIRF 2023 for MBA and accepts entrance exams like CUET-PG,  BHU PETIIT JAM, ICAR AIEEA, and others for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
