Indira Gandhi National Open University results 2019 would contain the participation of the largest number of students' results for any university in the world. The university is said to be the largest university in the world as it has its presence in India as well as all over the world. It is one of a kind distance learning university established in the year 1985 by an act of the parliament, located at New Delhi. IGNOU was set up as a national resource centre which would help in the promotion of distance education as well as maintain standards and protocols or norms for distance education and learning. The University of IGNOU also hosts the SAARC Consortium secretariats on distance and open learning (SACODIL) as well as represents the Global Mega Universities Network (GMUNET) which is sustained by UNESCO.
Indira Gandhi National Open University result provides the examination results for 4 million of its students in India as well as overseas. It was established in order to provide education to any person situated in any part of the country or the world, irrespective of their caste, creed, financial conditions or geographical location. It was set up to provide admission for eduation to the people who live in the most remote as well as the urban part of the country and the world. More than 4 million students are educated by IGNOU in India as well as 40 other countries of the world. The university has a network of 67 regional centres, 21 schools, 29 overseas centres which are spread across 5 countries and 2667 study centres. The university has been recognized by the UGC, AIU and the Distance Education Council (DEC). The university provides 15 types of UG courses, 35 types of PG courses, 22 types of Diploma programs, 53 types of Certificate courses and online courses. This means that the database of the courses at Indira Gandhi National Open University is huge and the provision of results is equally challenging.
The students are evaluated in the University of IGNOU by a three-step process which is known as Self-Assessment, Evaluation through assignments and the Term-End Examination (TEE). The self-assessment process has no weight in the total marks but is a very important process for the students’ self-evaluation. The assignments provided to the students include 25-30% of the total marks for the exams. There are two types of assignments, one is Tutor marked (TMA) and the other is Computer marked (CMA). The TMA is sent to the respective study centres and the CMA are sent to the IGNOU campus. The yearend final exams called TEE include the maximum weight in the total marks of the examination. The Grade Card or Scorecard is the actual IGNOU results for each student. The Grade Card or the Scorecard is to be downloaded by the IGNOU students according to the courses they are enrolled in along with their enrolment number and visit the IGNOU result portal at www.ignou.ac.in to get their results.

The IGNOU examinations are conducted as TEE, On-Demand Exam, and OPENMAT exam for the management students and Revaluation for the students who are not satisfied with their marks. The TEE exams are conducted the same as semester exams at the end of each term of December and June every year.
The Indira Gandhi Open University results in 2019 for the OPENMAT exams decide the number of students who have qualified for the management courses and therefore the students can register themselves by filling up application forms for their respective courses.
The university also provides services like IGNOU results On-Demand which provides early results for the students who have an emergency need for results in order to apply for job interviews or vacancies.

- The first step is to open the official IGNOU page www.ignou.ac.in
- Then click on the ‘Results’ tab
- Then choose the result for the type of exam one requires like TEE, OPENMAT
- Enter the respective enrolment number and click on the submit button.
