NIT Mizoram Cutoff 2017: Check Category-Wise JEE Main Cutoff Ranks

The National Institute of Technology Mizoram cutoff 2023 was released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The cutoffs for All India, All India Female, Home State, and Home State Female were made public for the Round 1 and Last Round.  In accordance with their valid JEE Main score for 2023, students were invited to register for the JoSAA counselling round for a variety of BTech and BTech Integrated courses. Students who scored in between the opening and closing cutoffs were chosen to participate in the counselling rounds. NIT Mizoram Cutoff 2017 General All India Category

The BTech cutoffs for the General All India category ranged from 32279 to 39797. In relation to that, CSE had the First and Last Round cutoffs at 19904 and 32279, respectively. NIT Mizoram Cutoff 2017 OBC All India Category

As per the NIT Mizoram cutoff 2017, Computer Science and Engineering had the Round 1 and Last Round cutoffs at 6991 and 10330, respectively. Moreover, CSE was the most competitive course. According to Shiksha.com, the JEE Main Round 6 opening and closing rank for Civil Engineering at NIT Mizoram was 58000 and 59000, respectively. The JEE Main cutoff for Computer Science Engineering in 2023 was 4524 for SC and 1507 for ST category. The cutoff trend for B.Tech at NIT Mizoram has been decreasing in recent years. The cutoffs for admission to NIT Mizoram are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Main, and the last cutoffs also change depending on All India quota or Home State.

Q:   What is the BTech cutoff for SC and ST categories at NIT Mizoram?

NIT Mizoram BTech cutoff 2023 for Computer Science Engineering was 4524 for SC and 1507 for ST category. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Main, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female. 

Q:   What has been the cutoff trend for Computer Science Engineering at NIT Mizoram in last few years?

The cutoff trend for B.Tech at NIT Mizoram has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 38931. In 2023, it decreased to 31336. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from
47444 to 10103 for OBC 121045 to 4524 for SC 135188 to 1507 for ST 45980 to 5121 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

One can take admission to M.Tech programme at NIT Mizoram through common counselling for M.Tech (CCMT) after qualifying GATE. If seats remain vacant after GATE qualified candidates, admission can be given to non-GATE candidates through Institute admission procedure.

NIT Mizoram has a sanction of around 200 seats for admission in BTech programme. For admission at MTec, NIT Mizoram offers 50 seats with five specialisations and 2 years of course duration. The Institute also offers PhD in various specialisations along side the UG and PG level programmes.
