NIT Mizoram Cutoff 2018: Check Category-Wise JEE Main Cutoff Ranks

The National Institute of Technology Mizoram cutoff 2018 was released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The cutoffs for All India, All India Female, Home State, and Home State Female were made public for the Round 1 and Last Round.  In accordance with their valid JEE Main score, students were invited to register for the JoSAA counselling round for a variety of BTech and BTech Integrated courses. Students who scored in between the opening and closing cutoffs were chosen to participate in the counselling rounds. Mechanical Engineering was the least competitive course based on the NIT Mizoram BTech cutoff 2018. CSE, on the other hand, was the most competitive course offered in 2018. Additionally, in 2018, the CSE Last Round cutoff was 37003. The NIT Mizoram cutoff distribution by branch is tabulated below:

Q:   What is the latest cutoff information for B.Tech at NIT Mizoram?

According to Shiksha.com, the JEE Main Round 6 opening and closing rank for Civil Engineering at NIT Mizoram was 58000 and 59000, respectively. The JEE Main cutoff for Computer Science Engineering in 2023 was 4524 for SC and 1507 for ST category. The cutoff trend for B.Tech at NIT Mizoram has been decreasing in recent years. The cutoffs for admission to NIT Mizoram are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Main, and the last cutoffs also change depending on All India quota or Home State.

Q:   What is the BTech cutoff for SC and ST categories at NIT Mizoram?

NIT Mizoram BTech cutoff 2023 for Computer Science Engineering was 4524 for SC and 1507 for ST category. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Main, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female. 

Q:   What has been the cutoff trend for Computer Science Engineering at NIT Mizoram in last few years?

The cutoff trend for B.Tech at NIT Mizoram has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 38931. In 2023, it decreased to 31336. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from
47444 to 10103 for OBC 121045 to 4524 for SC 135188 to 1507 for ST 45980 to 5121 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.
