NMIMS' School of Business Management Invites Applications for MBA in Pharmaceutical Management

November 27, 2020: For its highly sought-after MBA in Pharmaceuticals Management in Mumbai, School of Business Management, NMIMS , a legacy institution renowned for its scholastic excellence, invites applications for admission. Admissions for its two-year courses are open until  December 14.

The Indian pharmaceutical industry was among the biggest recruiters in the pre-Covid period, as a leading global producer of generic drugs. Although recruiting fell in the immediate aftermath of the lockdown, in the last few months, it has since made a phenomenal recovery. The pharmaceutical sector has emerged as the biggest engine of the current economy, along with Fast Moving Consumer Products, Information Technology and education. The industry increased recruitments by more than 24 per cent in September relative to August, according to a career recruiting website, and are projected to rise more.

To ensure that students benefit from their practical knowledge, the MBA programme is developed in consultation with industry heads and experts. The course is also carefully designed to ensure maximum on-field exposure for the students in addition to the Institute-Industry Faculty Alliance, in order to broaden their industry knowledge.

Eligibility: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in; Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medical Technology & Biotechnology, and MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS from a recognised University with minimum 50 per cent marks in the aggregate. Candidates with BTech Bio-Tech/Bio-Medical or BE Bio-Tech/BioMedical from a recognised University with minimum 50 per cent marks in the aggregate are also eligible to apply. Candidates working in Pharmaceutical Companies or with work experience in healthcare sector can also apply subject to meeting the above qualification criteria.

School of Business Management, NMIMS Sets the Admissions Open for its Dual Degree MBA Decision Science programme

October 26, 2020: The School of Business Management, NMIMS recently announced that the admissions to its prestigious Dual Degree MBA Decision Science programme are open. The School offers the course in joint efforts with the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University, a leading public research university in the USA. The last date to apply for admissions to this programme is December 14, 2020.

With this degree, students will have the chance to enrol in two of the world's most prestigious universities. The two-year programme is divided into three terms at the SBM and two terms at the Krannert School of Management, followed by a one-term internship in India under a faculty guide. The thoughtfully crafted curriculum follows research-based and industry-oriented pedagogy.

The curriculum fulfils the necessity for management graduates to have a multidisciplinary approach. In partnership with Purdue University and business leaders, SBM's academic council has carefully designed this programme. The programme at Krannert, Purdue University, focuses on improving expertise in a range of big data applications and computational approaches and trains graduates on a global level for a business analytics career. The programme entails intensive business and organisational engagement with a capstone project and a three-month spring internship at a partner organisation in the industry.

Eligibility: Since this is a dual degree programme, applicants are required to qualify for both the NMIM SBM and Krannert School of Management, Purdue University. For SBM, they need a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised University with minimum 50 per cent marks in aggregate (of all years). They must have taken Mathematics at the pre-university level – (10+2) or equivalent examination/s. Once selected for SBM, the applicants will apply to the Krannert School of Management. They will need a minimum TOEFL score of 93 or IELTS score at 7.0 or higher with minimum subsections scores. Preference will be given to those with relevant work experience.
