Dr. Rajendra Prasad founded the institution in 1956. There are 46 departments and institutes at Kurukshetra University, each with a unique curriculum. Kurukshetra University has around two hundred constituent colleges. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has awarded the institution an "A+" accreditation status. The syllabus is pretty easy and quants is only what's taught before 10th in Maths. VA includes 16 question for reading comprehension and 8 for Vocabulary.

The 2023–2024 academic year appointments at Kurukshetra University are still in progress.
