The BE and BTech programmes at Thapar University are both four-year programmes offered under the engineering stream. For JEE-qualified applicants, Thapar University is presently accepting applications. There are two ways to apply for admission to BE/BTech. The JEE percentile will be used to fill 50% of the total BE/BTech seats, and Class 12 marks will be used to fill the remaining 50%. Around 2,500 places in total are available at the university for the BE/BTech programme. The total cost of all the courses mentioned above ranges from 5.90 lakh to 14.98 lakh Indian rupees.

Last year (2022), almost 395 companies visited the campus for placements. Some of the companies are Amazon, Apple, DE Shaw, Arcesium, Media.Net, Paytm, Rapid, Oyo, Games kraft, Synopsys, VMware, Cisco, Oracle, MakeMyTrip, etc. In 2022, 1,867 no of offers were given and among these 1,604 students are placed. The placement percentage is very high with the median salary of INR 10LPA.

 

Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.)

The three-year BBA programme at Thapar University is provided. Admission to the BBA programme at Thapar University is determined by how well candidates score on the university's aptitude test, which is followed by a Personal Interview (PI) round. General awareness, aptitude and analytical skills, and logical reasoning are the three sections of the online entrance exam. Candidates who received a SAT score of 1,260 or more can skip the Academic Readiness Test and directly apply for the Personal Interaction. This training costs about INR 14 lakh in total.

The Thapar University provides both full-time and part-time PhD studies in several specialisations. Additionally, it provides working people with an Executive PhD programme. A valid score on the UGC NET, CSIR NET, CAT, GMAT, GRE, GATE, NMAT, XAT, JRF, or Written Ability Test (WAT) is required for admission to any of these programmes.  The course lasts for three to five years. those with a master’s degree in the pertinent field and a cumulative GPA of at least 55%.
