JEE Main 2025: The National Testing Agency will conduct the JEE Main 2025 session 1 exam from January 22 to 31, 2025. The JEE Main Admit Card 2025 will be released on January 20, 2025. NTA will issue the JEE Main exam city slip 2025 in the second week of January 2025.
JEE Main Application Form 2025 session 1 is closed. JEE Mains 2025 registration session 1 was open from October 28 to November 22, 2024. The JEE Mains correction window 2025 was open from November 26 to 27, 2024.
The JEE Main 2025 exam will consist of two papers:
⇒ Paper 1 for admission to BE/BTech courses. It includes questions from classes 11 and 12 Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.
⇒ Paper 2 for admission to BArch and BPlan courses. Paper 2 is divided into Paper 2 A for BArch and Paper 2B for BPlan. Paper 2A includes Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing while Paper 2B consists of Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Planning-based questions.
The exam will be computer-based, except for the Drawing section of Paper 2, which is pen-and-paper-based. Candidates can check JEE Mains 2025 Syllabus PDF, exam pattern, and JEE Mains previous year papers to prepare for the exam.
The NTA had earlier announced JEE Main 2025 exam pattern changes. As per the new exam pattern, section B of the JEE Mains 2025 exam will now have only 5 questions per subject, and students need to answer all 5 questions with no facility of choice.

What is JEE Main Exam?
The Joint Entrance Examination (Main), popularly called JEE Main, is the exam conducted for admission to BTech, BArch and BPlan courses at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. The JEE Main exam is also an eligibility test for JEE Advanced, conducted for admission to IITs.
JEE Main is held twice a year which gives students two opportunities to secure a good score. However, students have the option to appear in one or both attempts.
Candidates seeking admission in Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) need to qualify the JEE Main by securing the minimum cutoff marks. The competition is intense, with lakhs of students appearing each year, making it essential for aspirants to prepare diligently.

JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2025
To be eligible for the JEE Main exam, candidates must have completed or are appearing in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. There is no age limit or minimum marks in Class 12 for appearing in the exam, but candidates can attempt it for three consecutive years from the year of passing Class 12. Candidates can check here the detailed eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2025 prescribed by the NTA for appearing in the exam. All candidates must ensure their eligibility before applying for the exam failing which their candidature will be cancelled.
- Candidates must have passed class 12 in 2023, 2024 or appearing in 2025.
- There is no minimum percentage required to appear in JEE Main however, candidates must secure a minimum of 75% marks in class 12 or get admission in IITs, NITs or IIITs.
- Candidates must have Mathematics as a compulsory subject in class 12.
- There is no age limit to apply for JEE Main
JEE Main 2025 Admit Card
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the JEE Main Admit Card 2025 online on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in around 2-3 days before the exam date. The direct link for JEE Mains admit card 2025 download will be provided on this page. The JEE 2025 Admit card link will be also available on the JEE Mains hall ticket 2025 official website jeemain.nta.ac.in. Details about exam date and time, exam centre address, and candidate basic details like name, photo, signature and exam day instructions will be mentioned in the admit card.
It is advised that the candidates must review all the information on their admit card after downloading the NTA JEE Main admit card 2025. Candidates must get in touch with the examination authority in case of any discrepancy in the admit card. Candidates must carry a photo ID card along with the JEE Main 2025 admit card to the examination hall. Candidates need to download and take the printout of their JEE Mains 2025 admit card.

JEE Main Application Form 2025
The NTA has closed the JEE Main 2025 session 1 application form. The Application form was available online on the JEE Main official website jeemain.nta.nic.in from October 28 to November 22, 2024. JEE Mains 2025 Registration session 2 will start on January 31, 2025.
Candidates need to ensure they fulfil the conditions mentioned in JEE Main eligibility criteria 2025 before filling out the application form. The details about JEE Main eligibility criteria, how to fill out the application form, JEE Main 2025 fees, and the documents required are given here.
Students have to upload scanned images of their passport-size photograph and signature and the time of filling out the application form. Students belonging to the PwD/PwBD category need to upload a scanned copy of their category certificate while filling out the application form. Candidates from the OBC-NCL or Gen-EWS category have to provide details of the issue date and the name of the issuing person for their category certificate.

How to Apply for JEE Mains 2025
The step-by-step process to fill the application form is
Step 1- Open the JEE Main 2025 official website
Step 2- Click on New Candidate Registration link
Step 3- Candidates have to enter the required details like name, parents name, email ID, mobile number, address
Step 4- Once the candidate completes JEE Main Registration, they’ll need to fill the application form by filling details about category, class 10 and 12 education, parents name and address, paper for which appearing (BTech or BArch/BPlan), exam city preference.
Step 5- Students need to upload scanned image of photo, signature, class 10 certificate and PwD/PwBD certificate (If applicable)
Step 6- Pay the fees online using credit card/ debit card/ UPI or internet banking
Step 7- JEE Main application form will be submitted automatically once the candidate pays application fees
Candidates will receive the acknowledgment slip through email and SMS mentioning details about their application form. Students must download the application form and keep it safe.

JEE Main Form Correction 2025
The facility of JEE Main application correction is closed now. JEE Mains correction window was available until November 27, 2024. JEE Main correction window 2025 link is available below on this page and JEE Main website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Any candidates who fill the application form and wish to modify any details in their filled form can make the corrections by login to the website. Candidates must note that only certain information like category, address, photo, and signature will be available for corrections during the facility.

How to Make Changes in JEE Main Application Form 2025

- Login using your application number and password

JEE Main 2025 Exam Pattern
The JEE Main 2025 exam pattern has been changed. As per the new pattern, there will be no optional questions in section B of the JEE Mains exam. The exam will have three papers- Paper 1, Paper 2A, and Paper 2B. Paper 1 is to be attempted by candidates willing to join BE/ BTech courses. - Refer to previous year's JEE Main question papers: Previous year's papers are a great source of information. They will help students in understanding the difficulty level of exams and the JEE Main 2025 subject-wise weightage of topics.
- Prepare a timetable for study: Studying as per the timetable can help in covering the syllabus in a planned manner. It is highly advised that students make a JEE Main preparation timetable with at least two to three hours for all three subjects and one hour for revision.

- Revision: Revision is as important as studying a topic. If students are not revising what they study, there are possibilities that they will not be able to recall it at the time of examinations.
- Mock Test Paper: Solve JEE Main mock test papers regularly. It is advised that students solve chapter-wise mock papers on completion of a chapter and full-length mock test papers after completing the entire syllabus.

JEE Mains 2025 High Weightage Chapters
JEE Main 2025 will have an equal weightage of 33.3% questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. From each subject, 30 questions will be asked out of which 25 have to be answered. However, within the subject, some topics have more weightage over others. Candidates are advised to give more focus to the high-weightage topics which are asked more frequently over the years. NTA JEE Main Answer Key 2025
NTA will release the JEE Main Answer Key 2025 a few days after the conclusion of the exam. Candidates have to log in to the website using their application number and date of birth for JEE Main answer key download. The answer key will have correct answers to all the questions asked in the exam.
The NTA will first release the provisional answer key. Students can also challenge the answers in the provisional key, in case they do not satisfy with any of the answers. Students can submit their grievances online within the specified dates. The grievances submitted by the candidates will be reviewed by the NTA post which the final answer key will be released.
How to Download JEE Main Answer Key 2025
Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to download answer key
Step 1- Open the JEE Main website
Step 2- Click on JEE Main answer key link
Step 3- Login using your JEE Main 2025 application number and password/date of birth
Step 4- The answer key will be displayed on the screen along with response sheet
Step 5- Download the answer key and take its printout.
The final answer key, released after reviewing the objections submitted by the candidates will be used for calculating the result/score of the candidates. The final answer key is not subjected to challenge/submission of grievances by the candidates.

JEE Main Response Sheet 2025
NTA will release the JEE Main candidate response sheet along with the answer key. JEE Main response sheet is the copy of recorded responses that candidates mark during the exam. Candidates can use their response sheet along with the answer key to calculate their scores in the exam. The response sheet will be available for download on the candidate login page.
JEE Main 2025 Result
The result of JEE Mains will be announced around 1 week after the conclusion of the exam. NTA will release the JEE Main scorecard online on the website jeemain.nta.ac.in. Candidates will need to login to the website to download their JEE Main 2025 result.
Candidates will need to log in at the JEE Mains 2025 result check online link using their application number and date of birth to check their scorecards. The JEE Main 2025 result will mention details of percentile scores obtained by the candidate in each subject and the aggregate percentile score.

JEE Main cutoff is the minimum percentile score that candidates have to score to qualify for appearing in JEE Advanced. JEE Main cutoff is different for various categories. Candidates must note that there are NO minimum marks or cutoffs that students need to obtain to pass the JEE Main exam. The score that candidates get in JEE Main decides the All India Rank and admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs is purely based on the All India Rank. The JEE Main cutoff is only for appearing in JEE Advanced.
