B.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering - Batch of 2024

Our campus life is excellent, but placements are not satisfactory.
Placements: Placements are not at all satisfactory in this college. Only a few companies visit for placements drive, and they offer an average salary. So better not select this university or course if students are looking for placements after their degree. Some students opt for higher studies and the environment is perfect for that.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good in this college. The library is well maintained. Some laboratory facilities like test machines or equipment are unavailable or not in working condition. Wi-Fi is not available inside the hostels, but they provide a LAN port for internet i.e., one port for one room.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, cooperative, and helpful. Some of them teach properly and treat students very well. Our course curriculum is hard, and it is not relevant for getting placements. But students can learn about a lot of stuff related to various engineering fields at the same time. Apart from this course curriculum, learn new skills or gain some relevant knowledge, and students will have a better future.
Other: There are a lot of fields for improvement like Wi-Fi facility, laboratory infrastructure, mess food, etc. This university is very beautiful and students will find a lot of monkeys and snakes. There are some state-sponsored scholarships and merit-based scholarships, if students are eligible then they can apply for them. The student who is admitted through the ICAR exam in the 15%, gets AQI seats for the NTS scholarships.

This is the review of my college.
Placements: 52 students graduated in the 2018(my) batch. 10 to 15 students were selected on campus. But it was a mistake by our HOD. Technically speaking, around 30% to 50% of students are placed every year. The monthly package of Rs 20,000 to 30,000 is offered by the top companies. You get placed as a supervisor, researcher, developer, etc.
Infrastructure: Well, it's not that modernised. Mess food is not good at all. Some important labs and some faculties need to be updated. Still, we are depending on the old methods over there. They need to be adjusted to the time. More and more efficient staff are needed in some particular things.
Faculty: The course curriculum covers so many things. I need to find a suitable and helpful teacher. The teaching quality is not that bad. According to my calculations, the difficulty level is average. Subjects are easy to understand, and you can learn some of them yourself. The pass rate is more than 95.

You have to check for the eligibility first if you are applicable for the said course and then you have to appear in the entrance test namely Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). You will get the admission based upon your selection in the list.
