SET exam centre: The Symbiosis Entrance Test is a popular BBA entrance exam in India. The SET exam is conducted in over 80 cities across the country. SET exam 2025 will likely be conducted in computer-based Test mode (CBT) in the first week of May 2025, and candidates have to visit the allotted test centre to take the exam. SET exam centre will be decided by the exam conducting body. Candidates can choose up to three preferred SET exam centres while filling out the SET application form 2025. Q:   How can I select the SET exam centre while filling the SET application form?

A:

During the SET registration process, candidates need to select their SET exam centre. The candidates can choose upto three SET exam centres  for the SET exam centre allotment. Candidates should choose the test centres in the order of their preference, as they cannot be changed after the SET exam application form submission. Follow the steps mentioned below to know how to select the SET exam centre:

  • Register on the official website of SET.
  • Login to the candidate portal and fill the rest of the SET application form
  • Under the 'test centre' tab, choose the preferred test cities.
  • Candidates can select up to three test centres while filling out the SET exam application form 2024.
  • Candidates must select test centres in order of their preference, i.e. from first to third.
  • Fill up the entire SET application form, pay the application fee and finally and click 'Submit'.

Q:   Can I change my exam centre after the admit card has been issued for SET?

A:
No, candidates can not make any changes once the SET application form has been submitted and the admit card has been issued. Candidates can however, contact the exam conducing authorities if they find any error in the SET admit card. Having said that. SET exam conducting authorities reserve the right to modify, add or combine any test centre/s if required.

Q:   What is the reporting time for SET exam? Can I leave the exam center after completing exam early?

A:
Candidates must report to the SET exam centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam. The SET exam will take place at 11:30 AM at various test centres, hence, candidates must reach the exam centre the latest by 10:30 AM. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam centre before 12:30 AM (morning session). Also, they can not re-enter the exam centre once they have submitted the exam.

How to Choose SET 2025 Test Centre?

Candidates will be allotted the SET exam centre in the city of their preference. Check out the steps below to know how to select the preferred test city in SET exam 2025 application form.

  • Candidates need to register themselves on the official website of SET.
  • After successful registration, candidates need to fill in the SET application form using their login credentials.
  • Choose the preferred test cities.
  • Candidates can select up to three test centres while filling out the SET exam form 2025.
  • Candidates must select test centres in order of their preference, i.e. from first to third.
  • Fill up the entire form, pay the application fee and finally and click 'Submit'.

Q:   How many test centres can I choose for SET exam?

A:

Candidates can choose upto three SET test cities according to their preference. Candidates must very carefully select the cities as once the SET application form is submitted, they can't change city preference. They should choose the first city of preference as their hometome or where they are residing as the exam authorities will likely allot the test centres to candidates in their first city of preference. Candidates are allotted a test centre in second or third preference only if the seats have been filled or the exam centre has been cancelled at that location. Candidates should know that the SET test cities cannot be changed once the form is submitted even during the form correction window.

Q:   How would I know my SET exam centre?

A:

Candidates will know their allotted SET exam centre only from the admit card. There is no way to know the test centre before the release of the SET admit card. The examination authority allots a test centre to aspirants in the city of their first preference as mentioned in the city. So, candidates can atleast be assured that they will get a test centre in the city they had chosen as first preference in the SET application form. However, the venue will be mentioned only on the candidate’s admit card. So as soon as the SET admit card is released, candidates must check the test city and test centre details. In order to avoid any confusion, they must visit the centre at least once before the exam day.

SET Exam Centre 2025: Important Points to Remember

Mentioned below are some important points regarding the SET test centre:

  • SET admit card 2025 will contain test centre details.
  • Test centres cannot be changed once the SET 2025 application form has been submitted.
  • The exam conducting authorities hold the right to change or cancel any exam centre.
  • The exam conducting authorities can also change a city other than the one selected by the candidate if in case the selected exam centre is not available.
  • Candidates must reach the SET test centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam.
  • Allotment of the test centre will be done on first come first serve basis. The earlier you apply, the higher your chances of getting the preferred test centre.

Q:   Can Symbiosis SET be given remotely?

A:

No, the SET exam cannot be given remotely. Every year the SET exam is conducted in the computer-based test mode. In 2021, the exam was however conducted in the internet-based test mode because of the coronavirus pandemic. Ever since, the SET exam has always been conducted in the computer-based test mode (CBT). To take the exam, candidates have to visit the SET exam centre and take the exam online. They can choose upto three preferred SET test cities during the SET exam registration. Candidates must reach the test centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam in order to avoid any hassle on the exam and complete the frisking formalities at the exam GATE smoothly.

Q:   Can I show a soft copy of the SET admit card in the exam centre?

A:

No, digital or soft copy of the SET admit card will not be accepted at the SET exam centre. The candidates have to carry a coloured printout of the SET admit card to the exam centre to get an entry. SET admit card is a mandatory document which is to be carried to the exam centre along with a recent coloured passport size photograph affixed to it. The photograph should match the one uploaded in the SET application form.

The examination authority does not accept digital admit card as valid document as it is to be signed and stamped by the test centre staff for proof of candidate’s attendance. One copy of the SET admit card of every candidate is also retained by the authorities, thus the need for the print out.

Q:   When to download SET admit card?

A:
SET admit card can only be downloaded till the SET exam day. The SET hall ticket will be released on the pre decided date and students will require their login credentials to log in to the candidate portal and download the admit card. The SET admit card is a mandatory document which is to be carried to the SET test centre in order to take entry in the exam hall.

SET Exam Centre: Dos and Don’ts

An identification process will be conducted at every SET exam centre, hence candidates must make sure that they reach the exam centre at least an hour before the exam starts. The exam will begin at 11:30 AM, hence the candidates must reach by 10:00 AM. Check out the checklist of dos and don'ts that the candidates must follow at the SET exam centre.

Dos

  • Candidates must carry a coloured print of the SET admit card to the exam centre as it is a very important document without which candidates cannot enter the exam hall.
  • Digital, B/W or soft copies of the SET admit card will not be accepted.
  • The admit card is to be submitted at the time of the verification process. 
  • Candidates must carry a photo ID proof (original and photocopy) and two recent passport-size coloured photographs for identification purposes.

Don’ts

  • Do not carry any electronic gadgets to the exam centre such as mobile, laptops, calculators, etc. 
  • The exam centre gates will close 15 minutes before the exam and no one will be allowed to enter the exam hall hence, candidates must not arrive late.
  • Candidates must not carry any eatables or drinks inside the exam centre. They are prohibited inside the exam hall.
  • Candidates must also not carry any stationery to the exam centre except a black or blue ballpoint pen.

Q:   What are the dos on the SET exam day?

A:

On the SET exam day, candidates have to follow certain guidelines which include reaching on time, cooperating with the exam centre staff, following instructions of the test invigilator and following the test navigation for solving the SET questions. There are some key dos and don'ts that candidates should follow on the SET exam day, which have been listed below:

  1. Reach the examination centre at the reporting time mentioned on your SET admit card
  2. Carry two copies of the SET admit card, one photo ID card and passport size photos
  3. PwD candidates should carry the relevant certificates and documents as prescribed by the examination authorities.

Eatable and drinks are not allowed inside the SET exam centre. But, candidates must carry their personal transparent water bottle to the exam centre and follow the COVID-19 appropriate behaviour at all times.
