SET Exam Centre 2025: Important Points to Remember
Mentioned below are some important points regarding the SET test centre:
- SET admit card 2025 will contain test centre details.
- Test centres cannot be changed once the SET 2025 application form has been submitted.
- The exam conducting authorities hold the right to change or cancel any exam centre.
- The exam conducting authorities can also change a city other than the one selected by the candidate if in case the selected exam centre is not available.

Q: Â Can Symbiosis SET be given remotely?
No, the SET exam cannot be given remotely. Every year the SET exam is conducted in the computer-based test mode. In 2021, the exam was however conducted in the internet-based test mode because of the coronavirus pandemic. Ever since, the SET exam has always been conducted in the computer-based test mode (CBT). To take the exam, candidates have to visit the SET exam centre and take the exam online. They can choose upto three preferred SET test cities during the SET exam registration. Candidates must reach the test centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam in order to avoid any hassle on the exam and complete the frisking formalities at the exam GATE smoothly.
Q: Â Can I show a soft copy of the SET admit card in the exam centre?
No, digital or soft copy of the SET admit card will not be accepted at the SET exam centre. The candidates have to carry a coloured printout of the SET admit card to the exam centre to get an entry. SET admit card is a mandatory document which is to be carried to the exam centre along with a recent coloured passport size photograph affixed to it. The photograph should match the one uploaded in the SET application form.
The examination authority does not accept digital admit card as valid document as it is to be signed and stamped by the test centre staff for proof of candidate’s attendance. One copy of the SET admit card of every candidate is also retained by the authorities, thus the need for the print out.

SET Exam Centre: Dos and Don’ts
An identification process will be conducted at every SET exam centre, hence candidates must make sure that they reach the exam centre at least an hour before the exam starts. - Candidates must carry a coloured print of the SET admit card to the exam centre as it is a very important document without which candidates cannot enter the exam hall.
- Digital, B/W or soft copies of the SET admit card will not be accepted.
- The admit card is to be submitted at the time of the verification process.Â
- Candidates must carry a photo ID proof (original and photocopy) and two recent passport-size coloured photographs for identification purposes.
Don’ts
- Do not carry any electronic gadgets to the exam centre such as mobile, laptops, calculators, etc.Â
- The exam centre gates will close 15 minutes before the exam and no one will be allowed to enter the exam hall hence, candidates must not arrive late.
- Candidates must not carry any eatables or drinks inside the exam centre. They are prohibited inside the exam hall.
