The University offers various UG & PG courses in the field of Management. It also offers MBA programmes to various African countries, as a part of the Pan-African e-network project. IGNOU Admission Process 2021: BBA & MBA Highlights
Details regarding IGNOU BBA admission 2021 and IGNOU MBA admission 2021 are as follows:
- Admission to BBA is offered once in July every year
- Final selection to BBA programme is done after the candidate’s assessment in PI
- MBA admissions are conducted twice a year; January and June

IGNOU BBA Admission 2021
IGNOU offers specialised BBA programme in Retailing of three years’ duration. The course can be completed in a maximum of six years. It is designed in a modular approach. On completion of the first year, the candidate gets a Diploma in Retailing (DIR). On completion of the second year, Advanced Diploma in Retailing (ADIR) is awarded, and on completion of the third year, the candidate gets a BBA degree.

Candidates are judged on the basis of a number of parameters. Each of these shall carry a maximum of 10 marks. The candidate is required to secure at least 25 out of 50 to qualify. These include:
- Appearance
- Communication
- Attitude
- Mental Alertness
- General Awareness
Sponsored Admission: A sponsor can nominate employees, who meet the above-mentioned eligibility criteria from their retail organisation. The sponsor will be required to submit a letter on the company’s letterhead issued by a competent authority. The sponsor will also need to submit the candidate’s application form along with the programme fee through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi.
IGNOU MBA Admission 2021
IGNOU offers MBA programme under two specialisations, which include MBA General and MBA in Banking & Finance. The duration of MBA programme is two years and the maximum duration allowed to complete the course is five years. The admission announcement is released twice a year in the month of January & June. MBA admissions are conducted on the basis of OPENMAT.
Admission to MBA (B&F) is offered to all the eligible candidates subject to a maximum limit mutually agreed upon between IGNOU and IIBF. Duration of this course is two and a half years and the university allows a maximum time of 8 years to complete the course.

IGNOU Application Process 2021
Candidates are required to go through six steps for IGNOU application process 2021. The following image depicts the same:
Mentioned below is a step-by-step IGNOU application process 2021:
Step 1: Visit the official website of IGNOU and click on the 'Menu' tab.
Step 2: Click on 'Register Online' and then on 'Fresh Admission'.
Step 3: In the admission portal that opens up, click on ' Click here for new registration' to reach the registration tab.
Step 4: In this registration window, scroll towards the end of the page and start filling the registration form. After filling in all the required details, click on 'Register'.
Step 5: Go back to the admission portal of IGNOU and login as a registered user with the credentials created in the last step.
Step 6: In this window, click on 'I've read the important information' and then on ' Submit'.
Step 7: IGNOU application form 2021 will appear on the screen. Fill in the complete application form and pay the application fee for the desired course and click on 'Submit'.
Step 8: Candidates can save a copy of the application form for future references.
