Amrita Vishwa Vidhyapeetam Coimbatore is definitely one of the best college our nation has.

Placements: 1. only 10% of students were placed in my course 2. The highest salary offered was 5lpa, the lowest 3lpa, and an average salary of 3.5lpa 3. Top recruiters are Ramco, Elgi, Cameron, Cummins, Infosys, TCS 4. Top roles are Assistant engineer, lean manager, Design engineer 5. The highest 5 LPA, the lowest 3Lpa, average salary 3.5Lpa 6. Only 2% got an internship for project work in companies like V Gaurd,Kirloskar.

Infrastructure: 1. Manufacturing engineering branch comes under Mechanical engineering. So we had separate labs for each and every subject with highly advanced machine set up. Classroom was big with projector facility, the whole campus has a Wi-Fi campus which can be logged only through respective roll numbers. There are 2 libraries, one is the department library and second is the main central library. There is even a e-learning facility available in library. 2. There is a 24x7 Wi-Fi facility available in hostels, it was a single room with hot water available from 5 am to 7:30 am. The quality of food was pretty decent, only veg foods are served in the entire campus. No non-veg foods are available or allowed in the campus. There are 3 canteens in the whole campus, all kind of veg items, ice-creams, fruits are available here. Medical facility is available in campus 24x7 which is free of cost. They don't charge for the appointment of doctor. There are 3 main grounds for Amrita University all the games and sports are entertained ( indoor as well as outdoor).

Faculty: 1. Around 85% of the teachers are Ph.D. scholars only 15% of the faculty are M.Tech based. The teachers were very helpful, very much qualified and knowledgeable as well. Teaching quality is excellent at amrita university. 2. Yes this course is curriculum relevant. It makes the student industry ready.

Other: 1. I choose this course because I had to take over my father's business. My course helped me to develop as an individual and learn a lot about the administration and processes in the industrial point of view 2. Everything was well, only the placements was an issue so far. 3. Amrita conducts its technical fest every year in February, there is a huge crowd in the campus in February. Other than fests there are many cultural events celebrated in college every year. One of the main attraction of the scenic beauty of the western ghats. College stands just below the western ghats which adds naturality to the college. GATE students get direct entry to the course with scholarship of 11k per month. Amrita conducts a talent test for which only top students are eligible for 8k per month scholarship till the end of course.

A perfect blend of TECHNOLOGY and SPIRITUALITY.

Placements: The placements are better for us compared to other courses. About 35% of the students got placed in 2017 batch. The highest package offered was around 7 LPA and least package offered was 2 LPA with an average of 3.5 LPA. The roles offered were designing engineer, marketing executive, production engineer etc. All the students undergo internship program in the 2nd year and the average stipend offered was 5k. Preplacement training in aptitude, spoken English and soft skills is provided on behalf of corporate training.

Infrastructure: The university spreads in across 600 acres of land. It consists of 3 huge academic blocks with E-lecture halls, well equipped and spacious labs, school of business, corporate training centre, central library, a large open auditorium with the capacity of 5000 members and a closed auditorium with 600 seating capacity are available. 4 Boys hostels (UG, PG), 2 girls hostels (UG, PG) are available on campus. Mess halls, Bank with 2 ATM machines, automated central kitchen, a shopping complex including a unisex parlour, a clinic with pharmacy and ambulance service, ICU care, smart laundry service, separate gymnasiums for boys and girls are provided. Badminton courts, table tennis room, volleyball and basketball courts, cricket ground and large stadium surrounded by western ghats gives an amazing feeling. An Olympic size swimming pool is here which is among the 3 best pools of Tamil Nadu. More than 0.5 million trees with herbal garden are there. Staff quarters and an ashram for meditation are also provided. Quality and the tasty food is assured in the canteen and hostel mess. Purified drinking water plants are installed in every corner of the campus, all the blocks including hostels and library are Wi-Fi enabled. Hostel rooms and premises are timely cleaned and well maintained. All the PG and PhD students are allocated with single rooms in the hostel. I did not face any issues regarding infrastructure.

Faculty: The faculty are very experienced, highly qualified and knowledgeable. The kind of industrial exposure and information they provide in the classroom is relevant to the present day scenario. Presentation, demonstration and oral lecture are the teaching methods used. The student to faculty ratio is 15:1. The course curriculum is well designed and useful.

Other: The ambience of the campus gives divine feel with immense positivity. The atmosphere is very peaceful. All cultural and technical events are enthusiastically organised. The campus has train and road connectivity. College bus facility is also available for day scholars. Cultural education is a part of the curriculum. The students from all branches are taken to Mathe Amritanandamayi Ashram in Kollam to receive the blessings of "AMMA " (Shri Matha Amritanandamayi) who is the chancellor of the University.
