It is the best university.
Placements: The placements are excellent since it was one of the oldest universities in India. The companies are looking forward to conduct placement drives. Every year, placement drives are conducted by all the MNC companies. Our VC is the senior most person.
Infrastructure: It is one of the oldest universities in India. So, all the buildings are old and resemble a school. There are excellent classrooms. Wi-Fi is available. A world-class library is available. Medical facilities are available. There is an excellent environment with all kinds of indoor-outdoor activities.
Faculty: Only PhD holders are recruited as assistant professors. The course curriculum is old but it has excellent standards, and the teaching is also good. Exam standards are too high. There is a friendly environment in the classrooms, and there is a good scope for learning.
Other: Every day, in all the working days, some kind of events are organised in the university.

The student hub. A good government University.
Placements: Placement were good compared to many private colleges, but the packages are not upto University standards. You cannot expect High profile companies or any MNC core companies. And also like many private colleges, they won't hire crowds, only the most eligible will get the chance.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Good ambiance for study. Now for mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering people, new labs have started with class equipment by Seimens, they were offering good courses on industrial machinery even trying to give placements.
Faculty: The faculty was good. They prefer standard textbooks and approach. But the classes are not regular some time. You can expect some marathon classes at the end of semester. That's a good thing actually because in most of the private colleges. I strongly recommend that you don't join through management quota.
Other: Don't expect cinematic fests and farewell events. Crowds can be expected at the time of Department days.

The college has experienced, finest professors, but placements are a bit disappointing.
Placements: Expected more number of placements, as it is the most reputed university in Andhra Pradesh, but only 3 to 4 companies visited for recruitment. Placement cell need to work more regarding placements. My batch has good numbers (students placed) compared to previous batches.
Infrastructure: Andhra University has good infrastructure. There is super fast Wi-Fi on Saturdays. The college is renovating to smart classrooms (not all) recently. AU has the vast library with huge volumes of books (south campus). AU has a big playground, which is also a playground for all Vizagites. Medical facilities are also available.
Faculty: AU college has the finest faculty like Prof. Ramji, but recently he has taken charge as VC for some other university. Other faculty members are also good at their respective subjects. Machine design branch will have regular classes compared to other branches.
Other: We have branch wise events every year. Many seminars will be conducted by the professors every year. It is in the middle of Visakhapatnam city with greenery all around.

Good satisfaction from the teachers and disappointed by the placements.
Placements: There are no placements offered since we are petroleum exploration and production department. Here we don't have the placements. But we had some connection with ONGC. We see delta studies. We have to wait this year if any possibilities of the campus placements.
Infrastructure: It has the very good infrastructure. Here the labs are good and beautiful classrooms. We had a very good library to read on. The medical facilities are well and good. I don't know about the hostel since I'm from home. I haven't faced any difficulties. The sports are conducted time to time.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful. They are highly qualified. They have done their PhD. Some of them are well-experienced that they work for the industries. They have much practical knowledge since they work for MNC companies in the past. They teach us well. The teaching method they use is PPT.
Other: They conduct events, fests, and some social awareness programmes.

Andhra university- A place to study in the heart of the city.
Placements: The placement here at the andhra university is very good, about 85 to 90 percentage of the students get placed every year. The highest package is about 10 lakhs per annum, and the lowest is about 4 to 5 lakhs per annum. The job roles offered to the student is as per the specialization of the student. The companies such IBM, Infosys and TCS, visit the campus every year.
Infrastructure: The campus is located in the heart of the city. Even though the buildings are little old, they are very well maintained. The classrooms are very spacious and kept neat and tidy always. The central library is huge. The campus has cricket/football grounds, basketball courts and many other indoor game facilities. The quality of the food in the canteen is quite good and quite affordable as one could get a full meal for just 50 rupees.
Faculty: The faculty here is very good and always eager to get to know the problems that are being faced by the students and how to tackle those problems. The faculty is very knowledgeable in their respective subjects. The curriculum of Andhra University is quite efficient I would say. Many industry experts visit our campus to interact with students, so the students could get the industry exposure.
