Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Q:   What is the expected JEE Main cutoff 2024?

A:

NIT Manipur JEE Main cutoff 2024 has been released for admission to the BTech courses. During the Round 1 cutoff, the closing rank for CSE was 25886 for the General category students under the AII India Quota. Among OBC candidates, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering stood at 8750. Our college has a training ground.
Placements: Our batch faced many losses due to the pandemic. Placements provided in our college were very low. Open placement drives are held in the upcoming years. Training and placement in-charge provided training regarding interviews.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was the best. Library and labs were the best. Classrooms were good but more lighting should be provided. Medical facility was good but it was available on alternate days.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college were helpful and held Ph.D. degrees. A few subjects were tough but the faculty members helped students more.
Other: I chose this course because of my passion to work with machines. Our college organises an annual event named Bonhomie comprised of both cultural and technical events. I was a coordinator for a few of them. Our college should improve its canteen.

Infrastructure is totally good at KALSEKAR TECHNICAL CAMPUS.
Placements: Placement is not good in our college, very few students got placed. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Tech Mahindra, Octaware, etc. Very few students managed to get internship. There are 120 intake in Mechanical courses approximately all seats were filled till our admission.
Infrastructure: Overall infrastructure is good in our college including Wi-Fi available also for students throughout campus, labs are in good condition, machines are new. Quality of food is also good college took feedback form for mess also. Library is best in our college many books are available for students. Everything regarding infrastructure is not bad.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified, reaching quality is good. Mumbai University curriculum is not industry ready but this is not a college problem, college managed to provide free subscription to all students of Coursera and edx to enhance learning skills. College also provide free G-suite to all students. Passing percentage is average.
Other: College is providing free personal college ID and many MOOC subscription to enhance learning skills of students. College also conduct events like bonhomie and fuerza, in which we can participate. Scholarship guidance is very good.

All the staff were good, the canteen is amazing, and the environment is excellent.
Placements: Fifty people were placed with salaries ranging from 10,000 to 200,000. Companies like Godrej and Tata were among the recruiters. Most students, around 60%, did internships in automobile companies. It’s a good college where you’ll love to be; everything is amazing, featuring a big courtyard, three grounds, and two canteens.
Infrastructure: There are no hostels, but everything else is good. The college has a large courtyard, three grounds, and two canteens, creating a pleasant environment.
Faculty: The teaching quality is average; we don't learn much until after placement. It can be quite challenging, but overall, the college environment is enjoyable, with great facilities.
Other: I love machines, and everything feels amazing when you have a passion for something. Just to add, the focus on AI-based technology is minimal, and the scholarship opportunities are good.

It is better than most of the average colleges in Navi Mumbai.
Placements: Some top recruiting companies like Autovista, Cognizant, Hawa Valves, SkyCAD and Reliance Jio visit our college to recruit students every year. Most of the students who desire to get a job through college placement do get a job here. Remaining of the students either start their own ventures or pursue higher studies.
Infrastructure: Our college provides facilities like Jio internet, CNC machine, knowledge research centre, seminar hall, machine shops, food court, automobile lab, fluid mechanics lab, material technology, metrology labs, CAD labs, gym, mosque, etc. There are many more other labs related to different branches, but I do not know about them.
Faculty: All faculty members in our college are masters. Most of them talk politely and are helpful as well. They are very much concerned with your academic performance and will try to make sure that you score well. Semester exams are moderate to hard as it depends on the subjects.
Other: Our college organises one annual fest called Bonhomie, which includes various activities like sports, soft skills, quizzes, mock interviews, etc.

There are good mentors in the mechanical branch.
Placements: Around 9-10% of students got placed. The highest package offered was 7 LPA, the lowest package was 1.8 LPA, and the average package offered was 3 LPA. Companies that visited the college are TCS, Tech Mahindra, SkyCAD, Autovista etc. 20% of students got internships in local MIDC, and some got in MNCs. Roles offered are mostly junior production engineer and graduate engineering trainee.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. Very new laboratories are set up. New machines and equipment are provided. Wi-Fi is available for free throughout campus. Both physical and digital libraries are available. The classrooms are well ventilated, and the boards are big. Benches are well-arranged for students.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and helpful, but sometimes due to the communication gap, students find some teachers boring or aggressive. Teaching quality is good due to the technology used. The course curriculum is not updated, but the college arranges workshops for trending technologies. The pass percentage is 42%.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because since the very start, I was interested in physical engineering and science. I want to explore applied Physics. That's why I entered the mechanical field.
