No candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of recognized regular Course of Study after passing the previous qualifying examination. For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education /Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. Candidate must have aggregate 50% However, Candidates belonging to the SC/ ST or OBC Community must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate.

Review of Asutosh College.
Placements: The percent of students placed in our course was nearly 6270; the highest and lowest average package offered was about 30000 to 40000; there is no company recruiting us; there is not such an internship for our course or some other companies; we don't get any roles offered after this course; we need to go to NGOs; we just need to talk to them and if they like our TV or resume, they can use us.
Infrastructure: In our college, according to students, we have huge classrooms, but the IT sector of our college is basically the humanities block; they don't have big rooms but they have AC, and other AV products are required for students to understand better. Our college is always under construction .
Faculty: In our college professors and staff members, the union members are seniors; they are very helpful and they help us in all the possible ways. The office has all the facilities to clear all your problems within an hour on a particular working day and we get all the equipment that is necessary from them. They are very helpful and they care for us.

Good infrastructure and faculty members.
Placements: There is a low chance of getting placement after competing BA/B.Sc/General course. But there is a placement cell in Asutosh college and they also provide extra courses each year which may provide you a placement but there is no guarantee for this. But the courses will definitely help you in future.
Infrastructure: There is a separate library for social science subjects but those remains closed most of the time though you can always ask the professors for help and for books. Very few students stay in college hostel. To be honest as far as I know it is not that great.
Faculty: Professors are highly qualified as well as friendly. You are free to participate in any type of extra curricular activities or take a course. Difficulty of exams are moderate but university ranking is good and competition is high here. Seniors are the best here.

Good placement and infrastructure but average at office handling and slow at work.
Placements: The placements in the college are moderate, and people get in through the placements. Companies such as Wipro comes often. As I am still a student, it is difficult to note the stipend, but the salaries vary from the students and the company. About 30%-40% get the jobs through the placements.
Infrastructure: Along with main building, Asutosh college has 2 more external buildings for several purposes. The main building is on the main road, the IT building is in the next lane, and the humanities block next to it. Canteen is in the main building with more than 100 classrooms. They too have good hostel accommodation for the students. A central library and departmental libraries are there which are good. Along with the infrastructure it is well-maintained and whitewashed during every vacation. The campus is not too big but quite okay for a small gathering. Wi-Fi system works well. We have never faced the infrastructure issues.
Faculty: The professors, teachers and seniors are really helpful. Running notes along with descriptive elaboration are given all the time. 70% attendance is a must. The courses are widely varied, and admissions are also in good amount. Dissertations take place which are good for the students for exposure.
