Q:   How effective is the placement cell for B.E. / B.Tech courses at Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Engineering College?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for BE/BTech Courses at Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Engineering College

The placement cell at Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Engineering College seems to have mixed reviews from students and alumni. Here's a summary of what they have to say:

    * Average Placements: "Only 5% of the students got placed." - This suggests that the placement rate is relatively low.
    * Low Salary Packages: "The highest salary package offered was Rs. 16,000 per month and the lowest salary package offered was Rs. 8,000 per month." - This indicates that the salaries offered are not particularly high.
    * Limited Company Visits: "I don't even know the names of the companies that visited the campus." - This implies that the number of companies visiting the campus may be limited.
    * Good Faculty Support: "Teachers are qualified, each and every one are friendly and always helpful. Maximum focus on practical knowledge rather than bookish knowledge." - This highlights the strong support system provided by the faculty.
    * Need for Improvement: ".they (placement cell) don't want to know how much the students have understood." - This suggests that the placement cell could benefit from improving its interaction with students to better understand their needs and abilities.

Overall, while the placement cell appears to have some areas for improvement, the faculty support and emphasis on practical knowledge are notable strengths. However, the placement rates and salary packages seem to be subpar.

Faculty really supports students in sports and games.
Placements: There are 66 students in my course. The lowest salary offered is 3 lakhs per annum, and the highest is 10 lakhs per annum. The highest package offered in my course is 6 lakhs per annum. The top company that offers jobs is Hexaware. No internships are offered.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi at my college and there is no Wi-Fi signal around campus. In addition, there are mosquitoes in the classrooms, which bite us every day. The college hostel does not have a good signal, and the menu in our dining hall is not very good.
Faculty: The faculty at our college are very helpful and qualified. They are passionate about teaching and share their knowledge and experience with a smile.
Other: The colllege doesn't have a college fest. I think it's because the faculty members aren't interested in participating in events.

To improve ourselves and gain knowledge.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in our course is around 60. Our college campus placement offers a highest package of 18 Lacs per annum, and the lowest package is 9 Lacs per annum. The top recruiters for our course are around 4 to 8 companies.
Infrastructure: The hostel infrastructure in our college is very neat, and the food is tasty. The faculty members in our department number around 15, and they teach the students well. There is no Wi-Fi in our college, but the lab equipment is good, and the classrooms are neat. The library is peaceful for studying.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and friendly. They are qualified and teach well. The teaching quality is good, but there are no extracurricular activities like fests, flash mobs, dancing, singing, or other sports games. The semester exams are difficult.
Other: I chose this course because it is very trendy and in demand for the future. The best thing about my course is that the future depends on AI, which is why I chose it.

    Sampreeth reviews of my college.
Placements: The maximum salary offered at my college is 7.5 lacs per annum. Our college has fewer placement opportunities compared to other colleges, with a passing mark requirement of 74%. The majority of top companies that recruit from our college are Vartusa companies, offering lucrative job opportunities.
Infrastructure: The lecturers at our college are providing quality education, and the labs are well-equipped. However, the hostel facilities are subpar, with poor food quality and lack of cleanliness. Additionally, the college management lacks proper maintenance of medical facilities. On a positive note, we have access to sports equipment and even have a pet available.
Faculty: The professors at my college are highly trained and skilled individuals who provide us with valuable assistance. Passing semester exams in my college is challenging, requiring us to work diligently and intelligently from day one. However, this prepares us well for the industry and ensures a bright future for the next generation.
Other: The Artificial Intelligence and Data Science course is going to rule the world in the coming days, so in this course I'll improve my skills, so I suggest taking this course.

Take our decision to choose your college.
Placements: Our college has an average number of students. The highest package of our college is 15 LPA, the lowest package of our college is 3 LPA and the average package offered in our course is CSE. Around 60% of students got internships in CSE and ECE students. TSC, Tata and Flipkart also visited.
Infrastructure: Our college facilities are so good at teaching, they interact with us in a good manner. Our college labs are well to do practical. The classrooms are also in very good condition and every classroom has cameras. Our college library is the best to study so many books to study peacefully.
Faculty: Our college teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable persons they teach your very well and explain every thing what we want. Our college timing are good to every subject have same period of time. This time table make us to study fixable in free time.
Other: I choose CSE (AI&ML) which is trending in this generation. Programming is the best thing that I have learned in college. Lab equipment should increase. There are no cultural events in our college.

The college placements are quite disappointing from the last year.
Placements: Around 60% of students were placed in my college. We not only go for core jobs; we also go for software. They teach us programming languages and some subjects like Python and OOPS are available in some of the semesters. We can go for core jobs by learning some software, like Matlab.
Infrastructure: The way of teaching was very good, and the feedback of the students was collected from the management. The hostels are available for both boys and girls in separate blocks. The food in the hostel is quite good. The medical room is available during college time.
Faculty: The teaching quality was very good. The course curriculum is very relevant. The subjects are arranged in order for each semester. The exams are difficult and the invigilation is very strict. The pass percentage is around 60 to 70%. The pass percentage is not the same every time.
Other: The college is very good and well maintained.

I'm not satisfied with this college .
Placements: 72% of students were placed in our course. The highest package was 6 LPA, and the minimum package was 2 LPA. Unfortunately, there is no assistance provided while doing internships. Many companies recruit students from our course, but those who did not secure internships in college may have to seek opportunities outside of the college.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course or department are not bad, but they are not sufficient for students' needs. Unfortunately, the hostels are the worst; they lack basic facilities, and the food quality is poor, often prepared with old or expired ingredients. Additionally, the rooms are not of good quality.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, although some may not be. While some teachers kindly assist us, others behave rudely. Overall, the teachers at my college are not entirely bad, but there are a few exceptions. The semester exams are challenging to pass due to the difficulty in understanding the paper's instructions and the evaluation process.
