Is CBIT Good for B.E./B.Tech?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's an overview of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT):

Pros:

* Good Placement Opportunities: CBIT has a strong reputation for placing its students in top companies such as Microsoft, J.P. Morgan, Oracle, Amazon, and others. The highest package offered is around 60 LPA, with an average package of 10-20 LPA.
* Experienced Faculty: The faculty is highly qualified and experienced, with many holding Ph.D.s. They are known for being helpful and supportive, with some even going beyond their duties to assist students.
* Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure, including well-equipped labs, a spacious library, and comfortable classrooms.
* Festivals and Clubs: CBIT hosts several festivals and clubs, providing students with opportunities to develop their skills and interests outside of academics.
* Internships: Students can opt for internships, with many companies visiting the campus to recruit interns.

Cons:

* Hostel Issues: Some students reported issues with the hostel, including poor food quality and limited facilities.
* Limited Freedom: Students felt that there was limited freedom in the hostel, requiring parental consent for certain activities.
* Summer Heat: Classes can get uncomfortably hot during the summer season, with no air conditioning in the classrooms.
* Curriculum: Some students felt that the curriculum could be improved, with some subjects feeling outdated or irrelevant.

Overall, CBIT seems to be a good option for students seeking a strong educational foundation and promising job prospects. While there are some areas for improvement, the college's reputation for placements, experienced faculty, and good infrastructure make it a viable choice.

Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for MCA programs at CBIT?

A:
{Source: MCA students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for MCA Programs at CBIT

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's an assessment of the effectiveness of the placement cell for MCA programs at CBIT:

* Limited Information: Unfortunately, there is limited information available about the placement cell's performance and activities.

* No Specific Feedback: None of the reviewed statements specifically mention the placement cell or its effectiveness.

As such, it is challenging to assess the effectiveness of the placement cell for MCA programs at CBIT based on the provided information. However, this may indicate that the college does not actively promote or highlight their placement efforts, or that the placement process is relatively smooth and efficient without significant issues.

If you're interested in learning more about the placement cell or seeking guidance on career development, I recommend reaching out to the college administration or speaking with current students/alumni who have gone through the program.

Q:   Is MCA at CBIT worth the investment?

A:
{Source: MCA students & alumni}

* Infrastructure: Good infrastructure with modern facilities, although MCA students don't have access to hostels.
* Faculty: Excellent faculty with Ph.D. qualifications, providing guidance and clearing doubts.
* Course Curriculum: Industry-relevant curriculum with regular updates, preparing students for placements.
* Placements: Good placement record with top companies visiting campus, offering packages ranging from INR5-10 LPA (average) to INR8-10 LPA (the highest).
* Competition: Compared to B.Tech placements, MCA placements may face more competition due to fewer students opting for the program.
* Career Prospects: While the highest package may not be as high as B.Tech, the faculty believes that with strong skills, students can secure placements in top companies.
* Campus Life: Events and festivals organized by the college are enjoyable, and the campus has good connectivity and surroundings.
* Library and Resources: One of the finest libraries in the country, providing access to nearly 100,000 books and resources.
* Support System: Faculty members focus on helping average students, making themselves available for doubt-clearing sessions.

Overall, while MCA at CBIT might not offer the same level of placements as B.Tech, the college's infrastructure, faculty, and resources make it a worthwhile investment for those interested in pursuing a career in computer applications. However, it's essential to consider the competitive nature of the job market and the need for strong skills to secure top placements.

CBIT is the place to learn while one enjoys.
Placements: Placements are very good in college. Most students are placed this year. Amazon and Microsoft are the frequent companies that offer internships in our college. The highest salary package offered is 49.1 LPA and the average salary package offered is 9 LPA. Overall, college has very good placements history.
Infrastructure: We have good infrastructure. Classrooms are very well designed with projectors in good working condition. Labs are very informative and all equipment is in good condition. Library literally has every book you need with Wi-Fi connection, discussion rooms, and internet access. Students can take books for 2 weeks using your ID card. Hostel has clean rooms to stay with good food and Wi-Fi connection.
Faculty: Faculty here is very good and friendly. They have doctorates in their respective fields and are very well-experienced in the subjects they teach. Curriculum we have is enough for a semester and we also get 1 month off to finish our internships. Exams are the same as other branches. We have 2 midterms, lab internals, externals, and semester-end exams.
Other: Fests are conducted in the months of January and February. Campus has plenty of free space to hang out.

Good placements and strong infrastructure, but room for improvement in curriculum focus.
Placements: In our batch, around 60% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 19 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, and Accenture. About 40% of students secured internships in companies such as Cognizant, Capgemini, and Amazon. They provide internship opportunities. Top roles offered to students include full stack developer, Java developer, and other technical roles in software development and engineering.
Infrastructure: The ECE department at CBIT has well-equipped labs, modern classrooms with projectors, and high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the campus. The library is well-stocked with essential academic resources. Hostel facilities are basic but clean. The mess provides decent food. A canteen offers snacks. The medical center provides first aid and emergency care. Our college provides sports facilities for cricket, football, and indoor games, promoting an active lifestyle. The hostel is well-equipped and good.
Faculty: Our teachers at CBIT are knowledgeable, qualified, and helpful. They offer a good mix of theory and practical learning. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students to be industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately challenging, with a high pass percentage. Some technical subjects can be difficult. Our college provides good support to help students succeed.
Other: I am in the 4th year of the ECE course at CBIT. I chose this course due to my interest in electronics and its career potential. The best parts are the strong theoretical knowledge and practical labs. I feel more focus on emerging technologies like IoT and AI would be beneficial. Our college offers vibrant events like Technozion and Srishti. The campus is well-connected and safe. Our college offers scholarships and conducts various extracurricular activities. CBIT provides a balanced and enriching experience.

Strong placements, and vibrant campus life.
Placements: I am from the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department at CBIT, and my batch graduated in 2024. Around 85% of students in our course secured placements, reflecting a strong placement record. The highest salary package offered was 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: The ECE department at CBIT offers well-equipped labs, Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, and a vast library with relevant resources. Hostels provide clean rooms, medical care, sports facilities, and quality food in the mess and canteen, fostering a comfortable learning environment.
Faculty: Teachers in the ECE department are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive, ensuring effective teaching quality. The course curriculum is industry-relevant, focusing on core and emerging fields. Semester exams are moderately difficult, with a pass percentage of around 85%-90%.
Other: I chose ECE for its blend of hardware and software knowledge, offering diverse career paths. The best aspects include industry-relevant labs and strong placement opportunities. Improvements could focus on updated tools and more practical exposure. CBIT hosts vibrant fests, has an active campus crowd, good connectivity, scholarships, and supports extracurriculars like sports and teach clubs, creating a well-rounded student life.

CBIT helps you to reach your dreams.
Placements: Yes, we get pretty good placement offers from companies like Wipro, Infosys, Google, TCS, Constelli, Oracle, Microsoft, and other companies. Most of the students will be placed in decent packages. The highest package was 43 LPA; recently, it reached 50 LPA.
Infrastructure: We have all kinds of facilities like water, transportation, sports, physical fitness, a canteen, fruit stalls, a knowledge center, a hostel for both girls and boys, and well-equipped labs. Each department has separate infrastructure, including classrooms, seminar halls, labs, water facilities, and restrooms.
Faculty: We have highly qualified professionals at our college. The curriculum is prepared by a committee and followed by other departments, and changes are made year by year that are most relevant to the students to get them the necessary skills. To pass, students have to maintain attendance above 65% and get minimum marks in class tests and end semesters.
Other: We do have a college festival once a year called Sudhee-Shruthi, a 5-day festival conducted in our college itself. We have seminars and guest lecturers to update the students with the latest technologies and trends in the market and make us more knowledgeable.

It's better compared to other colleges, but in terms of placement companies, it is somewhat backward
Placements: None of the students were placed till now in our branch ECE. But in IT and AIML courses, it is far better, as many students got internship opportunities at high levels. The top recruiting companies are as follows: MICROSOFT, GOLDMAN SACHS, BARCLAYS, PROVIDENCE, and others.
Infrastructure: Facilities availability is good. There is a lot of infrastructure like the library, labs for core and other branches, and all classrooms and seminar halls, etc. Whatever is required. And coming to sports, volleyball and cricket are the most played games in our college, and many indoor games are available, like chess, carrom, table tennis, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are well knowledgeable. They have a minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience in teaching the subject. The course curriculum helps students to be ready for the industry. The semester exams are done as usual in other colleges, with moderate toughness. The pass percentage is nearly up to 85%.
Other: The best ever thing about our college is that we have only 5 working days per week. And the main thing is that faculty gives full support to extracurricular activities. Events are done extraordinarily, but only once a year.
