Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Q:   What is the expected JEE Main cutoff 2024?

I am absolutely satisfied with our college because of good placements in 2022.
Placements: There are good placements in top companies. About 80% to 90% of students were placed in 2020. The highest salary package offered here is 20 LPA, and the average salary package offered is around 6 LPA to 7 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiters here are Mahindra, TCS, Infosys, etc. Around 80% of the students got internships from all the courses in various companies.
Infrastructure: Our college has a very good infrastructure, along with computer labs, a library, and classrooms. There is a free Wi-Fi facility for all students in the hostel and college premises. Our college serves good quality food in the canteen. There are sports facilities in our college to make students compete with other students.
Faculty: There are very experienced and enthusiastic faculty members. We have a knowledgeable course curriculum. The course curriculum is designed to fulfill the current requirements of students. The course curriculum is very relevant as it makes students ready for the industry by teaching technical skills and providing knowledge.
Other: I chose this course because I have been interested in computer science engineering since I completed my 10th class.

There is a good environment here. Our college is the best to pursue a polytechnic in Punjab.
Placements: Not a single student got placed from our batch because most of them considered further studying like B.Tech and BE. However, from a degree wing, a student of our college got a placement with a salary package of 34 LPA as a software engineer in Amazon. Companies hire students for roles like software engineer, web designer, cloud computing, etc.
Infrastructure: There are well-maintained hostel facilities in our college. There is a huge playground, a basketball court and a football stadium. Wi-Fi is available on the main campus. Dedicated labs are available for every practical subject. There is also a well-maintained library. The hostels are very well cleaned, and security guards are assigned for the proper safety of students. There are 2 canteens on the campus with all the facilities. Overall, it is a perfect place with a perfect infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers and professors here are friendly and very much experienced. Teachers are friendly in nature. Some of them have written books which we study in our syllabus and the entire board uses. The curriculum definitely makes students industry-ready. Special classes are conducted to prepare students for placements. The exams are not much difficult here. This year the pass percentage of our class was 100%.
Other: Lots of activities and competitions are organised from time to time on our campus. As this is a government college, there are lots of scholarship schemes.

Our college has a good infrastructure, and according to fees, the study provided is very good.
Placements: In our passing out batch, many students got 80% or above 80% marks in academics. Even some of them got placements from our college. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 8,000 per month and some of the companies also offer a salary ranges from Rs. 15,000-18,000 per month. In this college, you can get placements if you have 70% or higher than 70% marks in your academics. If you have a degree, the salary offered increases to double the salary offered to diploma students.
Infrastructure: In this college, all labs have computers for working. According to the stream or course, you will get machines or computers for your need. Labs are air- conditioned and have fans and well-designed chairs. Overall, the infrastructure of this college is good to study. This college has 3 buildings, and one is a diploma wing, while the others are for a degree. They both have separate libraries.
Faculty: In this college, teachers are also very impressive and have good knowledge. They are well educated. Every teacher is assigned to their own subject in which they are specialised. They are very helpful, and also you can ask them questions at any time, they will help you.

Best Polytechnic College in Chandigarh.
Placements: From our batch, there is zero placements. Some of the local technology companies came for placement but due to not such a good company profile, no one take interest in placements. Some BPO companies also came for placement offering 1.2 Lacs per annum. From my batch, only one student selected for apprenticeship in WIPRO held in other college for 6k per month. The companies in placements offer max 1.8 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: There are all type of facilities available in college. Full campus Wi-Fi network available with individual username and passwords. Labs have the latest PCs and other infrastructure. All the books we want is available in Library. Also the hostel are good, food is somewhat good but not bad in mess. Annual sport meets are held every year and also students go for national level sports events.
Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified. Most of them are Ph.D. and Masters in engineering and technology. They are very helpful and the quality of their teaching is very good. With theory, they also focus on practicals too. Some of the subjects in the curriculum are irrelevant but helpful in some situations. Also if students focus on studies they can be industry-ready. Also as a student, we have to do something more than curriculum to be stand out of the crowd.
Other: From the starting days of my school, I wanted to do engineering and after my 10th, I get a way in the form of this course. I learn 3-4 programming languages which help me to get a job. I wish they introduce more industry-specific courses like designing and marketing in the course.

Overall, the college is satisfactory.
Placements: Placements in our college are not much good. Only 1-2 multinational companies visit the campus but they may or may not recruit the students. From the computer science branch, almost 75-80% of the students got placed. The lowest package offered can be 1.5 LPA, and the highest package offered was 12 LPA by Zomato last year. The college has tie-ups with Infosys. It visits the campus and recruits the students in bulk. But, the candidates might be fired from the company in future. The company provides training for freshers, and then, decides the roles to be offered to the candidates. Students didn't get any internships at all. There is a placement cell, but it is not efficient.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The campus is small. Classrooms are airy. Labs have working equipment and computers, but there is a problem with the Wi-Fi facility. The library is excellent to spend some time reading. Medical facilities are not provided properly. Many extracurricular activities like games, Natak Show, Bhangra, Dance and many more are conducted in the college. Food provided in the canteen is not much good but is eatable.
Faculty: The course curriculum of the computer science course is great. In all semesters, you will get to learn new skills. The new technology is in use in our college. Faculty members in our college are not much good. They will do whatever they want to, but not all the faculty are same, some are kind and helpful.
Other: Only a few fests and events are conducted in our college. The first one is Apratim in which a lot of games and entertainment programs are conducted. This event goes on for 2 days. DJ night is conducted on the first day, and a singer is invited to the college on the second day to perform. The other event is Sports day. This event is also of great fun. Scholarships are provided to the meritorious students and under some government schemes.
