Affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), M.Tech admission at College of Engineering Pune is completely based on merit scores obtained by the candidates in GATE exam followed by a Centralised Admission Process (CAP) conducted by DTE Maharashtra.

There is no such provision for direct admission to the MBA programme at COEP Pune. COEP offers a two-year M.Tech course across 20 specialisations. These are Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Structural Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automotive Technology, Project Management, Construction Management, Design Engineering, Mechatronics, etc. All of these courses are taught through several department at COEP.

COEP Technological University offers a two-year full-time MBA course comprising four semesters. COEP is a government university which was earlier affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University.
