B.E. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2017
Offered by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Engineering and Research
3.4

The college has good infrastructure and good faculty, but it needs to improve the placement record.
Placements: The placements in my college are not much good, because my branch is electrical, and most of the companies who visited my college for campus selection are BPOs, sales and marketing. Only one core company visited the college during my final year. The percentage of placement of my batch is only 10-20%.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is excellent. The facilities provided by my college were very good. Wi-Fi is available in every place on the campus. The classrooms of the college are very good. The library is also good. There are lots of technical and non-technical books available in the library. The sports section of college is also good.
Faculty: The faculty of the college are awesome. There is no doubt about the faculty, especially of the electrical branch. The teaching of most of the faculty is really good. Most of the faculty have the qualifications of M.Tech and PhD. There are 15-20 faculty members in each department. The faculty also use the projector for teaching purposes.
Other: During my engineering, lots of events and fests were held in the college. The events conducted by the college are of the national and international level. One is annual gathering function, called Umang, that was very good. The college also provides the scholarship.

B.E. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2014

The college and placement facility is average and dissatisfied with the quality of the placement.
Placements: Our batch from the electrical department was the first ever passed out batch in the year 2014. If we would say about the placement especially for the electrical student, so, I will rate one star regarding the placements. There were no placements offered for electrical students during 2014 passed out batch. In 2014, the internship was nothing special.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided by the college was a bit satisfactory. If we say as compared to fees paid to the college they gave us good facility. There is no Wi-Fi on the campus. The canteen is good with the good quality of food. The college encourages the students for sports and the other activities. In 2014, the college was new, so faced some issue related to the infrastructure.
Faculty: The faculty was helpful. They always provide useful notes and ready to help you when you face difficulties. The teaching staff and also the HOD is ready to sort out the problems we faced in our studies. The teaching methods used was something creative like focusing on practical than the theoretical knowledge. Use of powerpoint presentation gives complete visual view of how the machines work. The student to faculty ratio was one faculty behind every 15-20 students. If we say about the industrial exposure, no such facilities were provided. The curriculum as compared to practical knowledge was 60% useful.
Other: The college needs some more improvement regarding curriculum activities and also need to be improved in the placement of core branches. If you are trying to go to this college, you have to be aware of the administrative department. The administrative department is very slow, and have to face problems when you go through any documentation process. Regarding staff and the other activities, you will be satisfied.

Good placement, excellent faculty and very good facilities.
Placements: I got placed in Indus Towers limited from the college campus. The college faculty has been very helpful. My previous batch was not so very active in placement or any other activity. TCS, Capgemini, Hasan Juma, Indus Towers, Amazon, etc. are the companies which visited my college for recruitment.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure. The whole campus has been Wi-Fi enabled(Jio). The classrooms are good and the library facility is excellent. Sports facility is also very good. We have our own sports ground. The food offered by the canteen is of good quality. I never faced any infrastructure related issue when I was in the college.
Faculty: The faculty members are also good. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. They are highly qualified too and the teaching techniques are excellent. In every year we got industry exposure in companies like Pench Hydro Power Plant, Nicco company in Nagpur, Facor company in Nagpur, CPRI in Banglore, etc. The course curriculum is also very useful.

Overall, a good college, Do not regret to get admission here.
Placements: Placements in our college are much good than other colleges of the same level in Nagpur. We have a benefit of having YCCE in MGI, and we get a chance in the companies which come to YCCE. The highest package in our last batch was 3.8 lacs, and we go to various colleges in Nagpur for campus placements suggested by the training and placement officer of our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. It has a separate building for the administrative building, and there are separate buildings for per two departments in the campus. Each building has a separate boys' common room and girls' common room. The condition of the toilets is good, and the water supply is adequate. There are cleaning staff members for toilets who clean floors and toilets every day.
Faculty: In our department, the Head of Department is PhD-qualified. Some other faculty members are also pursuing PhD. All of them are well-experienced and they teach us by relating the syllabus with the real world experience. I feel good for getting such faculty members for my engineering.
