A Detailed review on-GIMT.

Placements: I am currently pursuing this course, and many of our seniors have secured placements in various companies. The comprehensive study methods have also led to the emergence of many entrepreneurs and businessmen. Many students from this department are now working in the transformed manufacturing industry, while some have pursued higher studies and become assistant professors.

Infrastructure: We have adequate classrooms and lab facilities, including laboratories with all necessary machinery and equipment for a core branch. Additionally, computer and Wi-Fi facilities are available for software classes. Hostel facilities are good, with amenities like games, sports, and laundry services for students.

Faculty: The teachers in my department are highly qualified, holding Ph.D. degrees in their respective fields. They maintain a comprehensive approach to teaching, ensuring that course material prepares students to work as professionals. The difficulty of exams is moderate but depends on the student’s academic excellence and hard work.

Other: I chose this course because of the highly educated faculty and the additional facilities provided, such as literary, cultural, and sports activities.

Students are advised to join this college for being a perfect individual to live in today's society.

Placements: As we know, nowadays, the graduate aptitude test in engineering (GATE ) has become a big platform to get placed in the PSU companies with a good designation, those PSU companies now don't come to colleges as they used to come for candidates earlier. So if one is interested in getting into any PSU company, they must have to appear the GATE exam and must qualify with a good rank. In our college, companies like Tech Mahendra, Jio, Amazon, Zantrik Technology Pvt. Ltd, Zaloni Technology, Bharati Airtel and many more came to recruit candidates. They offer a reasonable salary to the candidates. We have a tie-up with Internshala by which the students can do internships. The training and placement cell is very much helpful to the students. They help students to do vocational/industrial/summer training in reputed companies like IOCL, OIL, NRL, APDCL, AEGCL, Indian Railways, BSNL etc. If one is interested in doing training in a company or industry which is known to him, the placement cell helps him to perform that by sending letters to the company/industry.

Infrastructure: The college campus has a high-speed Wi-Fi around the boundary. A well-facilitated library which contains a number of books for the students, and they provide books to all the students for a semester, and after exams, they take the books back. The classrooms are well-designed for a learning environment, and some classes have projectors also. Sufficient lights and fans are available in the classrooms. The laboratories are modern and contain sufficient instruments for doing practicals. The college has a 24 hours serviceable ambulance for emergency and a chemist shop on the college campus. The college also has an ATM centre of SBI in the campus. Besides, it has boys common room and girls common room separately. It has a very hygiene canteen that serves both veg and non-veg at a reasonable price.

Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and very helpful to the students. They use to teach in the class in a very friendly manner pointing every student and always ask for doubts if anyone has. They take care of every single student in the class. They used to conduct industrial visits to Indian Railways, power plants, Substations etc. per year for the students of each semester. The course curriculum is in national level and is same as we have in other colleges also.

Other: The college conducts a yearly festival called Euphuism as a college fest. It is 4 to 5 days programme with lots of interesting activities like Glitters, Circuitronics competition, robotics competition, cricket, football, and many more games. The college provides scholarships of R.s 9,000-11,000 to the students who get 1st, 2nd & 3rd rank in the semester exams and also helps to get scholarships for other sources. The college performs workshops on important and relevant things for the course.

It has everything as desired.

Placements: I'm a student, currently studying in GIMT, Guwahati. Regarding the placement, our college carries pool campus interviews, where many renowned companies come and select students. My college is successful in bringing companies and providing good opportunities to their students. Many big companies like Tech Mahindra has employees of our college.

Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi facility during the college hours. All the departments have their own lab with all necessities. We have separate college library and separate department library. The canteen provides all types of food at a very low cost. There is an on-campus hostel for girls and boys, and the construction is going on. Within the college premises, we have a medical store, an ATM and a stationary shop.

Faculty: Regarding electrical department, I have to say that we have got the most trusted teachers around. We have the senior professors who are very kind in teaching. Teachers are really helpful. We are divided as mentees under different teachers (mentors). Teachers not only teach but also they personally see if we're able to do it. We have nearly 25 teachers who are really good. We are taken for industry visit. Recently, my department applied for a visit to Bijuli Bhawan.

Other: A yearly event known as Ephusim is celebrated every year during February, where many renowned singers like Papon, Jubeen, Natasha, Siddhartha, Mahadevan, etc. was there to entertain the students. One of the best things is that every department gives their semester toppers money. The 1st ranker gets Rs. 11,000, 2nd ranker gets Rs. 10,000, and 3rd ranker gets Rs. 8,000. Our college is the only one to hold Hackathon in Assam which was one of our achievements.

Other: The campus facilities provided are poor. The Wi-Fi is available only for the faculty. The faculty is good but the management is a coward. They don’t provide any placements in any of the core industries. The infrastructure is poor and it is like a government hospital. No practical ideas and innovations are taught here. Educational improvements are needed for better development in GIMT.
