College was value for money with good faculty.
Placements: The ratio of students placed in our college was good, somewhere around 60-70%. If we talk about the package range, it lies between 3 lakhs and 7 lakhs. The companies that visited the college are generally from Rajkot and Ahmedabad, tech companies. I don't know exactly, but the percentage of students who got an internship from the college is 70-80%. The roles offered were for web development and app development, including software development.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi connections at the college are really good, and the college's infrastructure is comfortable, which facilitates the study environment. And the buildings are separate according to department. Qualities in the hostel are good to live in; living rooms are well facilitated. Guards are provided for the safety. The food they provided was good, till I was there.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful, and classes are never missed. Teachers are well qualified, including knowledge and experience. Teachers really support students, including knowledge and placement activities. The course curriculum is relevant, and it has changed this year. According to the syllabus, yes, the curriculum makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are not that hard in college if you study well and take care of your personal aptitude.
Other: I chose this course watching how the industries are evolving and including my curiosity. The best thing about my course is that you can get to know how the teacher works. Events at the college are done frequently, like the festivals and other tech events, and they also call well-experienced people to share POVs.

College in brief and placement details.
Placements: The placement for the computer branch is good for average students. if you're basics are clear, you'll get the placement. Also, decent communication skills are required. Placement begins at the end of the fifth and beginning of the sixth semester. During the seventh semester, the company conducts 2-3 rounds, which include aptitude, technical, and human resource rounds. some companies invite you for a technical round at their premises.
Infrastructure: The hostel has basic facilities but it's old and has problems but it's not strict. That's why it's 4 stars, otherwise 2.5 stars. It has no dining facilities and you need to manage your own meals. If you complain, they will fix the problems, but it takes time, so you have to be patient. You have to bring your own mattress.
Faculty: The faculty for CE are good. Most are good teachers and happy to help. Just don't tease them and they don't tease you back. Semester exams are easy if you study 1 day before and you are an average student. It's an easy pass. Not to say there are easy questions but never felt hard to pass if you want to score well, then study well. The passing exam is easy. Exam of midterm is 30 marks in total; obtain 12 to pass and end-term exam is 70- marks university exam.
Other: Fresher and farewell are organized by students themselves. The Navratri festival is sponsored by the Alumni Association. Tech Fest and hackathons are priorities in events.

Overall the college is good.
Placements: The placement opportunities are excellent, with average packages ranging from 3.5 to 8 LPA. Numerous reputable companies visit the campus and successfully recruit students. A majority of students find it easy to secure placements, thanks to the supportive placement coordinator and the pleasant atmosphere that enhances the overall experience.
Infrastructure: The course and hostel are satisfactory, however, the food situation in the mess is not ideal. It is necessary to make arrangements for meals on your own to avoid going hungry. Apart from that, everything else, including water and electricity, is excellent.
Faculty: The faculty members are friendly, and you will have a pleasant studying experience. It is advantageous that the teachers are understanding and do not mind if you attend classes or not, unlike other colleges. They are also very supportive. All the courses offered here are good, but the CE course stands out as the best. The exams are moderately challenging, so there is no need to stress excessively.

Reasons to avoid GEC, Rajkot.
Placements: Around 95% students get placed every year. The highest package offered was 12 lacs and the average was 2.5 lacs. There are no top recruiting companies but a total of 25 companies visit the college every year for the campus drive. 100% students got internships from my course in many companies. Intern role is offered in my course.
Infrastructure: There are big classroom for the students along with a library in the college. There is a WiFi available in the college Library and the departmental classrooms. There are 2 to 3 labs available in the department. The quality of the hostel is very bad. There is no mess or canteen in the hostel. There are no medical facilities available in the campus .There’s a football ground and a cricket pitch available for the students. No games are conducted by the college. The students play sports on their own.
Faculty: Professors are not helpful at all. No doubt they are GPSC qualified teachers but their teaching quality is bad. They behave very badly with the students and are aggressive. They do not support the students in extra curricular activities. The course curriculum is not relevant at all. It feels like we are in a government offices while trying to get our paper works done. The course doesn’t make the students industry ready. Semester exams are not difficult at all. 90% students pass the exam on their own.
Other: I got admission in 2022 after appearing for GUJCET, I will pass in 2026. I chose this course because it is demanding in the real world. There are many things that I wish to improve in my course. They do not support the students with extra curricular activities. There are no events or fest being organized in the college campus except Garba. You will not see any crowd in the college campus except during exams. There is no best thing about my college. The campus surroundings are clean. You will get a scholarship according to your caste. There is NCC available on the campus but no activities take place.

A good college with average facilities.
Placements: Almost 90 to 100% of the interested students placed in our college in computer science, the highest package was 7.5 LPA and average package was around 4 LPA. top companies were Lavasoft, Gateway, Adani, Radix, etc. Computer Engineering student are mostly from our college. I don't have much knowledge about internships.
Infrastructure: I am from the computer department and facilities like the library and labs are good. The Wi-Fi facility is average. Classrooms are good, neat and clean. The hostel does not have anything like a canteen or mess. The hostel is just for living and the hostel facilities are not very good. Medical facilities are not available here. Here is a small sports field, and some students play on it.
Faculty: The teaching staff is quite good. Teachers are very kind to students. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. This course is relevant and it really prepares students for industry. Semester exams are a little bit tough. The passing percentage is around 40.
Other: This is very popular and trending course also it has very bright future considering how fast world is growing.
