B.E./B.Tech at GBPIET Worth the Investment?

Based on reviews from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Pros:

* Good infrastructure: The college has decent infrastructure, with well-maintained classrooms, laboratories, and hostel facilities.
* Supportive teachers: Many students praise their teachers' approachability and willingness to help with academic and personal issues.
* Decent placements: While not exceptional, the college has a reasonable placement record, especially in the mechanical and electrical streams.
* Scholarship opportunities: The college offers various scholarships to deserving students.
* Campus life: The college hosts regular cultural and sporting events, providing a vibrant atmosphere for students.

Cons:

* Average placements in certain streams: Placements in certain streams, like computer science, may not be as strong as expected.
* Limited internship opportunities: Off-campus internships might be a better option due to limited opportunities within the college.
* Mess food quality issues: Some students report inconsistent food quality in the mess, while others mention that canteens offer better options.

Not good placements but it is better than the private colleges.
Placements: Placement opportunities are limited, with only 30 to 40 students placed out of 50 who participate. However, the placement percentage is 55-65%, and most students who don't get placed do well on the GATE exam and go on to earn their M.Tech.
Infrastructure: There are hostels for both boys and girls, which are separated by year. Wi-Fi is available in every hostel and in every department. The departments are not too far from the hostels, so there is no need for a vehicle.
Faculty: All the teachers are well qualified, and they are all IITians. The college provides well-qualified faculty, and the examination controller conducts proper exams. Each faculty member gives 100 percent to their students. The exams are not too hard, and the teachers only teach relevant material in class and provide notes. The college has separate hostels for girls and boys, which are separated by year. Wi-Fi is available in every hostel and in every department. The departments are not too far from the hostels, so there is no need for a vehicle.

Absolutely satisfied by the college's really good infrastructure and faculty.
Placements: About 60% students are placed. The highest package is 12 LPA, the lowest package is 4 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. The top recruiting company of my course is Adobe. The percentage of internships in our college I don't know, but it has great numbers in it. There are so many roles in our course, like web master, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good in our college; labs are well designed and classroom are also very cool. Wi-Fi facilities are also provided by the college library, which is also quite good. Hostels are average in my opinion; the mess and canteen are good. Medical facilities are available, and sports are good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and supportive in nature; they are very well educated and have so much knowledge in them. The course curriculum is relevant; yes, it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exam is moderate—not so easy and not so hard, but you need to do hard work.

Lack of placement in GBPIET.
Placements: Out of a class of 69 students, only two have been placed so far. The average salary package offered is 3.6 lakh rupees per annum, with a range of 3.6 lakh to 5.6 lakh rupees per annum. The top recruiting companies are TCS, WIPRO, and HCL. Less than 10% of the students have internship opportunities at startups. The top role offered is software development engineer.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure at GBPIET are average compared to other tier 2 colleges. There is Wi-Fi, but it is unreliable. The classrooms and labs are adequate, and the library is fine but has a limited selection of books. The hostel is below average, and the food is also below average.
Faculty: The teacher qualifications are not good, and the quality of teaching is quite low. The course curriculum is irrelevant to the industry, and in the final year we are studying economics, which is not necessary. On the plus side, the semester exams are moderate, and 70% of the students pass each exam.
Other: I chose this course because it was only available at this college at the time. This course is unique, and I'm currently pursuing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. I've learned a lot about Machine Learning in this course. However, if you want to enjoy your college life, this college is not for you, as events and fests are unlikely to happen.

Most beautiful campus in between the hills with a view to a large Himalayan range.
Placements: I’m a 3rd year student in this college, currently pursuing Computer Science Engineering. This year, I witnessed the worst campus placements in my branch. Among 70 students, only 30 to 35 students got placed and companies were not hiring for tech roles, they were hiring for management roles. Only a few students among 35 were hired for teaching roles but departments like ECE and mechanical provided good placements as companies like BEL (psu) visited our campus for mechanical and ECE and they selected 7 students (6 from ECE and 1 from mech) for 11 LPA. Companies like L&T, Suzuki, and Tech Mahindra also came for mechanical branch. 95 percent students got placements in the mechanical department. The college does not provide any internships. In my course, the top role offered are that of software engineer, data analyst, data scientist, etc.
Infrastructure: The classrooms have a volume for 70 students consisting of one smart board and Wi-Fi which provides speed of 150 mbps. The college has a central library and it consists of a large variety of books (only academics). The labs are okay consisting of systems with intel 7 processors. Facilities provided by the hostel include a personal cot, personal almirah, table-chair and a sharing room with two others. The mess food is edible being neither too good nor too bad. For medical facilities, there is a medical health centre where you can get just the basic first aid and fever and stomach ache medicines. Iff we talk about sports, football, volleyball, and kabaddi are the most played games.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified with doctorate degrees from good IITs and NITs. A few of them are also Masters. The faculty is knowledgeable but only a few can convey their knowledge on the lecture in a very efficient manner while the others lack it. The teachers are very helpful in nature. The course curriculum is very old, although it makes us prepared for Masters, but if we talk about the industry readiness, it lacks in it. The semester exams are moderate but we get a gap of 1 to 2 days in the end semesters which is good for preparation. The passing percentage is 85 percent.
Other: The motive behind choosing Computer Science was my interest for technology and this course provided good placements too. The best thing about this course is learning logical subjects like data structure, opps dbms and learning different languages. Our course still contains subjects like TOC and COA which are not relevant for the industry, so these subjects can be removed and some good industry relevant subjects can be included. Events like ‘Goonj’, which is the annual fest, is celebrated in the month of May and one annual sports fest ‘Josh’ is celebrated in the month of September. The campus crowd has around 2k students. The campus surrounding is very beautiful as our college is located in between the hills with a scenic view to a large Himalayan range. Scholarships like national scholarship portals are provided by the State to the students belonging to economical backward class (around 50k per year), and the college also provides an amount of 6k to top 6 students of the class. Extracurricular activities like photography, dance, singing, skit, meme, and drama can be seen in different clubs.

Gbpuat pantnagar college of technology.
Placements: Camous placements are very low as it is hypsed that it is very best college and only stone of the students gets placed every year own hustel is mandatory as no one in the facuality is happy to help you everyone is busy in there own work and no one want to help.
Infrastructure: There are Wi-Fi in classrooms, library and in laboratory. Library is full of knowledge and variety of books, hostel are nice without any cooling system as there is very hot climate in summers. Food facilities are well and food but sometimes it is horrible.
Faculty: Faculty is very much experienced as the had done very much struggle to get a nice wellpayed job, they make student hardworking and make them work in pressure so they become ready for there jab and be industry ready, the passing percentage is 50 in each subject.

The answer of your question can only be given by seeing the previous year cutoffs of this institute. In 2020 the  JEE mains cutoff for general category for Btech CSE was 49974. So, although you belong to SC category and your cutoff will definitely be low, but your rank is very less. The difference i

Now, you have to do all India counselling. Or, wait for state counselling in Uttrakhand. It will probably start from 15th of July.
