B.E./B.Tech at GBPIET Worth the Investment?

Based on reviews from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Pros:

    * Good infrastructure: The college has decent infrastructure, with well-maintained classrooms, laboratories, and hostel facilities.
    * Supportive teachers: Many students praise their teachers' approachability and willingness to help with academic and personal issues.
    * Decent placements: While not exceptional, the college has a reasonable placement record, especially in the mechanical and electrical streams.
    * Scholarship opportunities: The college offers various scholarships to deserving students.
    * Campus life: The college hosts regular cultural and sporting events, providing a vibrant atmosphere for students.

    Cons:

    * Average placements in certain streams: Placements in certain streams, like computer science, may not be as strong as expected.
    * Limited internship opportunities: Off-campus internships might be a better option due to limited opportunities within the college.
    * Mess food quality issues: Some students report inconsistent food quality in the mess, while others mention that canteens offer better options.
    * Older hostel infrastructure: The hostel buildings could benefit from renovation, leading to some comfort issues.

    Conclusion:

While GBPIET has its strengths, particularly in infrastructure and teacher support, it's essential to weigh these advantages against the potential drawbacks. If you're looking for a college with strong industry connections and guaranteed placements, you might consider alternative options. However, if you prioritize a supportive environment and a well-rounded education, GBPIET could be a suitable choice. Ultimately, it's crucial to carefully evaluate the pros and cons before making a decision.

Our college has one of the most beautiful campuses in India. Come and study in the lap of nature.
Placements: In our college, up to 50-60% of students get placed in the companies. The average package in the college is 4.5 Lacs. The lowest package in our college is 3 Lacs, and the highest package in the college is up to 12 Lacs in recent years. Most of the students apply for off-campus internships.
Infrastructure: Faculty members in our college are highly qualified, having PhDs from IITs and NITs. They explain the concepts very deeply and are very helpful in academics. Hostels on the campus are neither too good nor too bad. Sometimes, during examinations in winter, there are electricity problems, and many times there are also electricity cut-offs from the hostels. The quality of food in the mess is not too good. There are medical facilities, and canteens are also provided in the college for students.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified; they have completed their Masters and PhDs from IITs and NITs. They teach topics very deeply and are very helpful with students in academics. Semester exams are good enough to test the student's ability to grasp the subject's knowledge.

    College with a beautiful view.
Placements: 50% of people are placed in our college. The lowest package is 4 LPA and the highest is 9 LPA. Most companies come for sales jobs only. The top company is Medico. Students do internships on their own, as the college doesn't provide them. Internships generally don't require a specific percentage.
Infrastructure: In our college, every department has its own building, and Wi-Fi is present. Digital teaching is also available in the classrooms. The large library has all the basic requirements and course-related books. The hostel provides decent food, and water facilities are also adequate. Students can stay as they can.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is quite nice, and the interaction between teacher and student is very nice. Yes, this course, Biotechnology, is relevant for students and makes them industry-ready. Outside India, this course's value is high compared to India. The semester exams are pretty decent, and not very difficult. The pass percentage is 60%.
Other: I was interested in the research field, which is why I chose this course. It is a very good course if you are from a PCB background and don't want to pursue medicine. The best thing about this course is the value it has outside India, which is very high. More lab facilities would improve my course. There are many events like Gosh Goonj, cultural fests like Footloose and Tech Fest, and many more. There is only a college student crowd on campus; very few civilians are present.

    My college review through me.
Placements: Around 50 percent students were placed from my branch this year. The highest package offered was around. 7 Lacs and the lowest was around 3 Lacs. Very less students gets internship from the college we have to try at our own for the internships .
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available in the department and water facility is also available in the department. The quality of the food is not very good only sometimes we get good food in the mess most of the time the quality is not good of the food and is not good for health.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good but not very good. The course curriculum is relevant. It does makes the students industry relevant. Semester exams are very hard in the college it is very hard to get good marks.
Other: Choose because I like the course.

    Lack of placement in GBPIET.
Placements: Out of a class of 69 students, only two have been placed so far. The average salary package offered is 3.6 lakh rupees per annum, with a range of 3.6 lakh to 5.6 lakh rupees per annum. The top recruiting companies are TCS, WIPRO, and HCL. Less than 10% of the students have internship opportunities at startups. The top role offered is software development engineer.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure at GBPIET are average compared to other tier 2 colleges. There is Wi-Fi, but it is unreliable. The classrooms and labs are adequate, and the library is fine but has a limited selection of books. The hostel is below average, and the food is also below average.
Faculty: The teacher qualifications are not good, and the quality of teaching is quite low. The course curriculum is irrelevant to the industry, and in the final year we are studying economics, which is not necessary. On the plus side, the semester exams are moderate, and 70% of the students pass each exam.
Other: I chose this course because it was only available at this college at the time. This course is unique, and I'm currently pursuing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. I've learned a lot about Machine Learning in this course. However, if you want to enjoy your college life, this college is not for you, as events and fests are unlikely to happen.

My college experience at this college till now.
Placements: Less than 50 percent of students were placed. The highest package was around 12 Lacs. Very few students got internships, as not many students get internships from the college. We have to try on our own to get the internships we want at the college.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available at some places in the department. No water facilities are available in the department. There is no canteen in the hostel, and the quality of food is also not good. Sometimes it is okay, but most of the time, the quality is not good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and sometimes they are qualified and knowledgeable. The curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are very hard, and it is very hard for students to get good grades in the semester exams of the college.
Other: Chose this course due to the need in the market.

Overall, if you are low on budget, you can go for this college.
Placements: Only 30–40% of the students are placed in the current batch with an average package of 3.5 LPA. Placements-wise, this college lags behind. Top recruiters are TCS, Tech Mahindra, Suzuki, L&T, and Rialtes. Internships are also grabbed individually by the students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is okay. It is neither too cool nor too bad; after all, it's a government college. The hostels are also okay and not very high-fi. The quality of food is also very poor in the mess. There are several shops within the campus where you can find things you need.
Faculty: Though the teachers are helpful if you approach them personally, the majority of the teachers are just getting their jobs done. The faculty offers average teaching quality. The semester exams are not so tough, as the exams are conducted within the college. The minimum passing criteria are 35%.
Other: If you are thinking about a college where you could enjoy and have the best college life, this college is not the one for you. The quality of teaching, placements, and fests need to be improved.
