Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics/ Mathematics /Chemistry/Computer Science/Electronics/Information Technology/Biology/Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/Entrepreneurship and Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Candidate must have passed diploma in Engineering and Technology) with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted. Result awaited students may also apply on provisional basis.

Counselling
Admission is through counseling based on the rank/score obtained in JEE Mains and HPCET. Admissions to 85% general seats will be made by Himachal Pradesh Technical University and 15% seats will be filled by the management. Seats left vacant after completion of counseling by HP technical University will be filled by the college management.

Good infrastructure and qualified faculty, but dissatisfied with the transport facility.

Placements: The placements are not involved in campus during our graduation year because it was in the initial stage. Our college is progressive and looks forward to opportunities for the students. Placement officer should focus on the companies which are outside of the Chandigarh, Delhi, etc.

Infrastructure: Good infrastructure facilities. The hostels are renovated from time to time with better services. Transportation has always been a hassle for the students and needs continuous improvement. We faced a lot many problems due to this. The college should provide students with proper transportation and focus on their safety as well.

Faculty: The faculty members in green hills engineering college are supportive and well-qualified. They have a unique bonding with their students and work hard to teach their specialized subjects. The course should be more practical based which was not there during our session.

Dissatisfied placements in 2015.

Placements: The placements were not that good as expected by the students. About 50% were placed at the most. There were companies like Eclerx, consulting firms for Wipro, IBM and teleprocessing etc. Companies offered a package of at most 3.5 lakh/annum. Students being a part of it were not satisfied by the placements by the profiles being offered to them. Due to this, many of them avoided being a part of placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was well known for the surroundings. Our college was in total peace and that too surrounded by hills all around. Classroom and library were well equipped with Wi-Fi facility. Our labs, especially computer oriented labs were well equipped with latest technologies. Our hostel rooms were very spacious, clean and provided with all amenities required. The quality of the hostel food was not that good but the canteen provided good food.

Faculty: As I was a part of information and technology, our faculty was really appreciable. They were very helping and always provided a friendly atmosphere with their students. Our faculty was highly qualified and knowledgeable. They provided us with all proper feedback regarding each and everything. Yes, the course was really very helpful for me to get through my BTech and that too impeccably.
