Step 1: For registration, candidates need to submit the entrance exam score for the respective test they have appeared for admission to different courses. The entrance exam scorecards have to be submitted at the time of registration.

Step 2: Candidates can fill out the HIMT Group of Institutions application form 2024 in both online & offline modes. Candidates can either fill out the form on the official website or submit the hard copy by visiting the campus.

Step 3: The selection process of HIMT Group of Institutions includes an examination of candidates based on their aspirations, and experiences. The admission panel will also evaluate the candidates based on their academic accomplishments during the interview stages of the selection process.

Step 4: Candidates shortlisted as per the course eligibility & selection rounds will have to submit the prescribed admission fee of INR 1,000. Following this, candidates are required to go through the document verification and are intimated about the date of commencement of the classes.

The highest CTC package offered at HIMT College was approximately INR 13 lpa. The placement drive for 2023 batch has been concluded at HIMT College, Chennai. Yes, definitely VIT Chennai offers far better placements than HIMT college. Like in 2022, a total of 118 companies visited VIT campus whereas just  10companies visited HIMT campus. The highest package in VIT was INR 75 LPA whereas in HIMT the highest package was just 12.75 lpa. The median package in 2022 for VIT Chennai was 8 LPA whereas the median package for HIMT was just 4.5 lpa. Therefore placement wise VIT Chennai is a much better college than HIMT .

 IMU-CET (Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test) entrance exam scores are accepted by HIMT College (Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training) for admission. It is a national-level common entrance test for admission to various courses offered at IMU campuses conducted by Indian Maritime University. The candidates who clear the entrance exam are called for their psychometric test, medical examination followed by panel interview and pre-sea training. Only after clearing all these stages, the candidate is eligible to take admission in HIMT college.
