It's a college with rich culture and heritage. It is also the oldest engineering college in Bengal.

Placements: The placements in college were 100% for both current and previous batches of computer science. The highest salary package offered was 26 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. Companies that visited the campus are Microsoft IDC, Amazon, Veritas, Direct, PwC, SPCL, Tata Companies, L&T and many other notable companies. IT and CST students bagged the maximum placements, but the civil students were the unluckiest.

Review of Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur.

Placements: The overall placement scenario in IIEST Shibpur is improving day by day. The rich alumni base of IIEST (formerly BESU) and its hardworking placement cell are the major factors for this. The placement scenario is at its best for the IT department, and more than 80% of students get placed. Mass recruiters like Wipro, TCS, Cognizant and major IT companies like Microsoft, Adobe, etc., visit our campus for recruitment.

Our college has very good infrastructure and facilities and also some renowned teachers from India.

Placements: Placements in our college were good as many companies visited our campus for placements and recruited many students. Some software companies like TCS, CTS, Infosys, Capgemini as well as core companies like Tata Steel, M. N. Dastur, Vedanta, etc., visited our college for campus drives. They all are freshers, so they were offered as GET roles. Besides this, some reputed coaching institutes like E-tutor, FIIT JEE, Pathfinder as well as Vikram Solar visited our college for campus drives. The placeme...

A beautiful green institute situated just beside the Ganges, with very good people.

Placements: Over the past four years, the placement statistics are increasing exponentially. Students from CSE and IT departments get the highest packages (10 LPA) followed by ECE and EE branches (6-7 LPA). More than 70% of the students get placed from college. Many well-known national and international companies from both the core and non-core sectors such as Microsoft, Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, Akash, and Maruti Suzuki, etc., visit the campus for placements.

An institute of national importance.

Placements: Currently, I am in the 3rd year. Placements were quite good for the last 2 batches compared to other batches. I believe that I can get good placement. As per the current scenario, placements are quite good. Some of the students were offered the packages more than their expectation.

I am satisfied with the college.

Placements: The placements in our college are good. The highest salary package offered for the students of the civil department is 20 LPA, and the highest package offered for the students of the CSE stream is 50 LPA. The placements are improving every year since it became INI college with the standards of IIT, NIT, and other INI colleges. Our college has stood at 21st position among all the engineering colleges in India.

Satisfied with the college, its facilities and placements.

Placements: I am a first-year student, so the placements are not provided for my batch. Some of my seniors got placed this year. The highest package offered for mining is 8 LPA, the average was 6.5 LPA, and the lowest was 4 LPA to my knowledge. The placement season is still ongoing, so the data may vary slightly. Companies that visited the campus are Hindalco, CWGL and Coal India is still to arrive. About 50% of the students as per my knowledge got internships. IIEST, Shibpur is a rising B-School.

Placements: Placement scenario in our college is good. The best batch was of 2004 where our college achieved almost 100% placements. In 2017, the college achieved 75% placement. I would say that it is the best suited to join MBA in IIEST from B.Tech or B.Sc. background. Non B.Tech or Non BScs remain a bit singled out. But still, since it falls under INI status, the management is trying hard to improve placements scenario. It firmly believes that it will improve in future and is in a rising state. Overall, I...

Our college provides good placements and infrastructure.

Placements: Placements in our college are good enough. Students get placements, but not every student can get the top placement opportunity. A maximum number of students get placed every year. But students get the highest salary package through off-campus drives rather than on-campus drives which is the greatest achievement for IIEST students.

A review of IIEST, Howrah.

Placements: There are good placements for civil and other departments. Companies like L&T, Sapoorji and many others recruit students. I got a job as a senior engineer in L&T. There are 100% placements in civil in the past 5 years. I also got placed in TCS (an IT company) and Infosys. The overall placements are good, but companies like Google India, Facebook, Caterpillars, Oracle don't recruit from on-campus placements.

Placements: The placements for my batch have been really good ranging from software development profiles from Microsoft IDC (CTC 40LPA) to consultancy companies like PriceWaterCoopers and ZS associates. Within two months of the college session beginning more than half of students have been placed in my department. The highest salary being 40LPA to the lowest being 6LPA. IIEST - The Engine of Producing Quality Engineers.

Placements: The placements were very good at my institute. We are the first batch of IIEST Shibpur and this we have got a boost in our placements. About 90 percent of our batch was placed and a similar percentage of students were placed from our senior batch. The highest salary offered was 40 LPA.

The institute of national importance, having a beautiful environment and equally good people.

Placements: Placements are quite good. From the beginning of August, many companies start coming, and this goes till March-April. Infosys, TCS, Akash Education, Wipro, Pepsi, etc., are a few companies to name. The highest package offered for CSE and IT branch students was around 10 LPA, closely followed by E&TC and EE, and it was in between 6 LPA to 8 LPA. However, many students here prefer to opt for higher studies.

Placements: I've recently joined this prestigious institute so I can't exactly focus on the placement stats. But as I have seen people here are placed in good companies with handsome packages. As I am a part of civil engineering department I can tell you that core companies do visit the campus with attractive offers.

Placements: The placements for our batch were not as good as expected. The placements for our seniors were better in terms of the number of companies visited the campus and also the percentage of students placed. The highest package was offered by Texas Instruments, which was 15 LPA and the lowest was offered by Electrosteel, which was 3 LPA (as far as I remember). The average package offered was around 5 LPA. Companies from various domains visited the campus. Microsoft and Google visited the campus to recr...

Satisfied with placement records and faculty members and also facilities.

Placements: Honesty first I am telling that, I have completed 1st year and now I have no experience about internships. But I have seen the placement records of previous years and also this year also. CTC of each department is increasing gradually. In our department, the highest salary offered is likely 11lpa, the lowest is 3.2lpa, but many seniors got job of 6-7lpa that is better than previous year. I think this is not too bad. Besides, in other departments placement is also good.

Average salary ranges between 8-9 Lacs per annum. The highest varies though previous year it was around 14 Lacs. The lowest also varies every year and this year it was 7 LPA. Starting salary for B.Arch students is low.

Placements: The placement percentage is 100%. People after B.Arch generally work in architecture firms. Some students go directly for masters. Starting salary given by firms is very low compared to other streams. This is a professional course, and it is expected to open their own firm after gaining suitable experience.

Placements: The placements for our batch were really good. We had 100% placements with most of the students getting their dream job. The highest package offered was around 6 LPA, and the lowest was around 2 LPA. We had companies from tech consulting to analytics firms, and the roles offered were mainly entry-level engineers. The college doesn't have a placement cell, students had to coordinate with the professors to get companies to the college.
