IIIT Kottayam was established as an institute of national importance under the IIIT PPP Act, Ministry of Education, Government of India. Kottayam IIIT offers UG, PG, and PhD courses to students across Engineering and various other streams. The college was established in 2015 and has clubs such as Technical Club, IEEE Students, Cultural Club, Sports Club, Social and Literature Club, Entrepreneurial and Innovation Club, and others. These clubs have enabled many students to gain their leadership skills while studying at IIIT Kottayam. Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Kottayam is famous for its flagship courses such as BTech and MTech.
Located in the central part of Kerala, the college is designed to impart an entrepreneurial ecosystem on the campus.
