The college is very good for studies.
Placements: 80-85% of students got placed in this college, and I also got placed. I think most of the students got placed in this college. The highest package offered is approximately 55 LPA, the average package is 30-35 LPA, and the lowest package is 20 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Bajaj Foundation, Reliance, and Birla Foundation. 75% of students got internships from our course in many companies like Reliance industry etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good and strong. There are many facilities for our comfortable study. We get Wi-Fi service, and it helps us with online study. The classrooms and labs are very clean and modern in this college. A library is also available for students. The hostel has good environment, and many facilities are available, like fans, housekeeping staff, water supply and a mess that offers good food. Medical facilities are much better, and I love sports facilities here.
Faculty: The faculty are amazing and very talented. They help students build good manners. They are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are not easy for me but not much difficult. My percentage is 74%.

Awesome place to spend two years of life with great learning experience.
Placements: There is well-organized placement committee which is solely responsible for the final placements of the whole batch and summer internships for the juniors. Every year, there is record 100% placements and same is the case for summer internships. The highest package offered last year was 40 Lacs per annum. Minimum salary offered was 12 Lacs per annum and average salary was 14.5 Lacs per annum. During summer internships, the highest stipend was 2 Lacs per month, minimum stipend was 40000 per month and on an average, students GOT 70000 per month as stipend. Some of the companies visiting the campus for the programme are RB, PnG, PWC, Mahyco, Coromandel, Jain Irrigation, Lactalis etc.
Infrastructure: The whole campus is a great piece of art, designed by Louis Kahn. Classrooms, sports complex, library etc. , everything is very well planned. Campus is fully wi-fi providing connectivity 24*7. There are 13-14 food outlets within the campus along with the regular mess. There are 35 students dormitories and also married hostels for the PGP executive programme, very well-equipped with basic facilities and housekeepers. There is just one issue of water stagnation during heavy rainfalls in low lying areas.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified with lot of industry experience and along with teaching they are involved in research work and also provide consultancy services to various companies. We have case method pedagogy which is helpful in getting the real world problems effectively to further ponder up on these problems. The class discussions are very enriching as there are students from different backgrounds. During my summer internship with an Agri. Input company, I GOT the industry exposure for the first time and the concepts in various courses taught in class were very helpful during the whole stint.
Other: Environment here is really good as there is no restrictions on any thing. One can express himself/ herself freely. People are very broad minded here. Faculty members are very friendly with students and along with academics there around clubs which conducts various activities and help students to pursue their interest in fields other than academics.

IIMA - there's a reason the brand speaks for itself.
Placements: Companies that come for recruitment keep changing year on year as per their recruiting needs, however, rest assured, if you have a good history of performance and you're hard working you're likely to get placed where you like, be it an MNC or a booming start-up. Some of the regular recruiters were Reckitt Benckiser, Mosanto, Syngenta, Pepsico, Godrej, Mahindra, ConAgra, Nestle, etc. The placement process during summers was (naturally) a bit less stressful. Having said that summers were considered a great opportunity as companies generally offer PPO (pre-placement offers) or PPI (pre-placement interviews) to their respective interns based on their performance during internship. If you happen to have this PPO/PPI, you have a chance at being placed directly in these companies without having to take part in the gruesome final placements.
Infrastructure: IIMA was blessed with one of the best campuses in India. Only, IISc comes close to beating it from what I've heard. Entire campus, including gardens, dorms, library, in-campus restaurants, classrooms, etc. It's everywhere. There are plenty photos available on Google, and of course there were scenes in the movie 2 states where you can have a peek at the classrooms. The ones with grey walls were in the new campus with seating capacity of about 110 while the ones with red bricks were in the old campus with seating capacities of about 80. Obviously, these were world class with centralized AC, projectors, ampi-theatre like seat arrangement, etc. Library was the best in the country with over 4-5 lakh books and the best online databases which we were proud consumers of. It had an in-campus dispensary with 9 am to 7 pm doctor availability along with an in-campus medical store (with room delivery option) and 24 hours of ambulance service. Top class facilities for most major sports were available like cricket, football, basketball, table tennis, squash, badminton, volleyball, etc. A swimming pool wasn't there but there was a rumor that it'll come up sometime soon. IIMA mess serves an amazing food but was considered expensive by a few. Additionally, there were around 7 other cafes/restaurant to choose from within the campus.
Faculty: Faculty and pedagogy were the two things that make IIMA the very best in the business. The faculty members were extremely qualified, in a lot of cases over-qualified rather. Many of them were the advisors to a lot of international bodies, central and state governments, corporates, etc. The Harvard method of case studies was most prominently used. Recently, they have also adopted simulation based methods for a few courses. There was a lot of industry exposure and the curriculum was extremely useful and relevant with direct applicability to the work that we do after graduating.

Really good college life and infrastructure
Placements: There were almost 60% of students enrolled in my course out of the total students. The highest packages offered in my college was almost 12LPA and this year it was 6 LPA, and the lowest was 1 LPA. Out of 60% of enrolled students, almost 50% of placements were secured.
Infrastructure: In our college, there are multiple facilities like Cloud Campus- Virtualized Cloud Server, Thin Clients, and Virtual Desktops. We get a Wi-fi Campus with a seamless and secure network and 24*7 high-speed internet access. We get 24 * 7 access to E-learning and Learning Management System, LMS-Moodle. Then we have Research Laboratories Part of the teaching laboratories, Mobile App Development Lab, IBM Rational Software Engineering Lab, Distributed Computing Lab, Enterprise Application Development Lab, and Open Source Technology Lab. The classrooms are spacious and air-conditioned with modern Audio Visual systems and Wi-Fi network access. The library has a rich collection of Books, Reference material, periodicals, national and international journals, Digital content, E-Books, and NIST- INFLIBNET for accessing online E-Resources. Students have access to computers, libraries, search facilities, and the Internet. The Institute has many sports facilities for various indoor and outdoor games. Separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls are available. The canteen facility is available on campus as well.
Faculty: The faculty of my college that is Ahmedabad University is exceptionally qualified and experienced enough to solve any doubt regarding the syllabus and also supportive of your life goals. They solve every doubt whether consulted off campus or on campus. They also give you their personal number so that you can ask at home also. The study material provided by the college and faculty is good enough to pass your semester examination and also help throughout your career journey. Study material are consist of test series, MCQ, long answer questions and important questions and frequently asked questions in interviews. Test series are pretty helpful that if you study them thoroughly just before 15 days of examination you would still easily score 40-60% marks. They are very to-the-point on every topic and easily understandable.
Other: My overall experience in college was great. I passed the college in 2019 and my faculty was very supportive at that time. Ahmedabad University also conducts sporting events every month and also gives a chance to represent your university in national-level games. Once in a year, your batch gets a chance to go out for a tour, for trekking in particular. College fest happens here every weekend.

Students also asked

Q:   How much CAT score is required for MBA at IIM Ahmedabad?

A:

IIM Ahmedabad considered two kinds of CAT scores for MBA admission - Qualifying and Final score. Qualifying CAT score is the minimum sectional and overall CAT score used to shortlist students for the Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. Candidates above minimum cutoffs in the sectional percentile ranks, the overall percentile rank and having a positive (greater than zero) raw score in all sections of CAT are considered for the next stage. Final CAT score is cutoffs are the basis of which the candidates are called for final selection after the AWT and PI rounds are over. The overall CAT qualifying cutoff for 2022 admission at IIM-A stood at 80 for General category candidates while the final cutoff is considered to stand between 99 and 100 percentile. For other category candidates, this requirement is comparatively low. Check out more details on IIM-Ahmedabad Cutoff here

Q:   What is the MBA fee of IIM Ahmedabad?

A:

As per the details collated from unofficial sources, the total tuition fee for the PGP and PGP FABM course for the 2024-26 batch is INR 18.3 Lacs (inclusive of all taxes). However, the aforementioned fee is only indicative considering it is sourced from unofficial sources. However, as per the official website, the over MBA programme fee is inclusive of tuition fee, course materials fee, student’s stay and food during campus visits and other service facilities, such as library, etc. Students can also pay this programme fee in installments. The institute shares the fee structure along with the admission offer. For the ease of the students, IIM-A also has tie-ups with multiple banks to offer collateral-free education loans.

Q:   How much GMAT score is required for MBA-PGPX admission at IIM Ahmedabad?

A:

While IIM-A does not have a minimum score required for admission, candidates are advised to aim for a score between 70 and 75 percentile in both the quantitative and verbal sections of the GMAT/GRE. In this regard, students must also note that standardised tests are just one of several admission criteria. A high score does not guarantee admission, and a below-average score does not eliminate a candidate. More details on MBA-PGPX admission at IIM Ahmedabad are available here

Q:   What all documents do I need for MBA application of IIM Ahmedabad?

A:

Candidates seeking admission to MBA at IIM-A, in their CAT application, have to mention personal as well as academic details in the CAT application form 2023 So, before filling the CAT form, candidates must keep the following documents by their side in order to mention accurate personal and academic details:

  • Class 10 marksheet
  • Class 12 marksheet
  • Graduation marksheets/certificate
  • Date of Birth certificate
  • Address proof
  • Candidate identification certificate
  • COVID-19 vaccination status
  • Final year certificate from principal, HoD or Director (if applicable)
  • Caste category certificate (if applicable)
  • PwD category certificate (if applicable)
  • Scribe certificate (if applicable)
  • Credit/debit card or net banking credentials
  • Work experience document

Q:   Is admission to MBA at IIM Ahmedabad confirmed if I score 100 percentile in CAT?

A:

There is a good chance of receiving an interview call from IIM Ahmedabad, however, admission isn’t guaranteed even at 100 percentile. The overall criteria includes academic profile, that is your Class 12, Class 10 and graduation marks. The college also gives a score for work experience, hence, candidates must have 2-3 years of experience to get maximum points. Additional focus is also given to gender and academic diversity. Considering all these factors and candidates’ CAT score, IIM Ahmedabad prepares a composite score through which decides whether to finalise a student or not. IIM Ahmedabad or any other IIM, for that matter, doesn’t give direct admission only on the basis of CAT percentile, the first phase of admission process is giving the CAT exam. Students must clear the sectional and the minimum final cut-off to be eligible and considered for the call. After that, they must get shortlisted for the interviews and group discussion process. After all these rounds, a final list of shortlisted candidates is prepared.
