IM Shillong admission process is conducted in two phases. In the Phase 1, candidates are shortlisted for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). IIM Shillong Executive MBA or PGP Ex Programme is a one year residential programme. The eligibility and selection criteria for the programme is mentioned below:

Candidates who select IIM Shillong as their preference while filling the CAT 2023 application form can check their shortlist status on the official website when PI form filling starts. Post the shortlisting process of candidates, they are screened for the PI round. Admission to IIM Shillong PGP is done through CAT/GMAT. Domestic candidates seeking admission to IIM Shillong must have a valid CAT score to get shortlisted for the GD-PI round.  IIM Shillong PGP Admission Process starts with the CAT Registration process. For admission to MBA (or PGP) 2024 batch at IIM Shillong, the CAT test will be conducted on November 26, 2023. Aspirants of IIM Shillong are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 will be held in three slots:

Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM

Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM

Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Earlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, starting CAT 2022, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.
