Placements: The institute has exceeded expectations this year (2022) in terms of placements and has performed exceptionally well for all the branches. The overall Average package for B.Tech is around 26 Lacs and the Median is 22 Lacs with the highest package being 1.2 crores. Almost all the major companies come to recruit at IIT Guwahati including Google, Amazon, Microsoft, etc.

Placements: Core placements are negligible in our institute. Most of the B.Tech students get placed in renowned software companies with decent salary packages of 25 LPA.

Placements: The percentage placement was greater than 96%. In the previous year, the average salary package offered was 19.50 LPA. Most students prefer to go to the SD side, and a few go to the core side. Core companies visit for placement, but one can easily get a job in other fields. If you're from CST, then an internship is something to grab. Most companies are open for circuital plus only. Internships are available in almost all of the branches below electrical. 

Placements: In our college, almost 95% of students were placed in our branch the previous year. The average salary package offered is 11 LPA to 12 LPA and the highest salary package offered is 46 LPA. Most students get internships in their second year. The peer group is best and you will skill up yourselves.

Placements: Around 82% of students get placed in companies of which 85% are selected for SWE role. Most of the students learn coding from 3rd year and get placed with a very decent salary package. Around 15% of students explore in finance and consultancy companies.

Placements: I think 73 percentage. The highest package is 2.1 crore, received by an M.Tech student. The lowest package is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata, thermal power plant, etc. Almost every student gets internship in tech portion also like in google, Microsoft, etc.

Placements: Placements in BSBE are good. Almost 85% of students are placed, and the remaining opt for higher studies or other exams. The average salary package offered is 16.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Google, Adobe, and Goldman Sachs. Many job profiles are different like IT or software, finance, and analyst. Overall, placements are good at IIT Guwahati.

Placements: In our course, around 60% of the batch get placements. The highest placement in our batch is around 27 LPA in the software domain. The average placement is 16.5 LPA and the lowest placement is 5 to 6 LPA. There were mostly software and electrical engineer posts for our course. Data science and AI positions were also offered. Placements: Around 80% of students are placed in civil engineering, and most students are applying for SDE roles. The highest salary package offered is around 64 LPA. Placements: About 20% of students were placed in M.Sc. chemistry. The lowest salary package is 6 LPA and the highest is 20 LPA. Coaching centers like Aakash and Byjus come for placements, and students also participate in general placements if they know about coding. About 40% to 50% of students go abroad for their Ph.D.

Placements: The placement cell is good at IIT Guwahati. All department students get the opportunity to sit in an interview for placements. It gives experience for the future. Top companies, like Microsoft, Tata, Reliance, etc., are supposed to come. The interviews are good.

The maximum salary package was 50 LPA in the US, and the minimum was around 5 LPA to 6 LPA. Core students get a lower package through chemistry. Placements: The placements here are very good. The highest package here is around 2.1 crores internationally and 1.5 crores domestically. The placement percentage is approximately 95% in both the CSE and ECE branches. It is also good for mechanical and EEE branches, at around 81% and 93%, respectively.
