IIT Kanpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,

Placements: The placement is very nice. Most everyone gets placed. The student placement office of IITK helps every student. The highest package was Rs 4 crore. The average package was around Rs 30 lakh. Around 50% of students get internship opportunities at various companies.

Placements: 95 percent of students are placed in my course. The highest package is 2 crores, the lowest is 5 lakhs, and the average is 52 lakhs offered in my course. Google and Amazon will be the top recruiting companies. 90 percent of students get internships in my course. Roles offered are software engineer, back-end developer, and data analyst.

Placements: The students placed in my course are around 70% in on campus placements. The highest package was 40 LPA which is in Google, and the lowest is around 10 LPA not idea about company, the average package is around 16 LPA. So there are only one or two companies who come for the core roles, so student mainly prepare for the non core roles companies like Google, microsoft, oracle, navi, samsung etc. My batch is around 150 students but there is only 8 to 10 students who got the on campus internship so t...

Placements: Around 85% of people who sit in placement get jobs. The highest package varies year to year; last year it was 4.3 CPR, but this year it is 2.4 CPR. The lowest package goes to 9 LPA, and the average is around 20 LPA. Many companies are recruiting from IIT Kanpur, like Google, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Optver, Graviton, and Quadeye. In my batch 120/196, I got an internship opportunity. The top role from my branch is at Optiver Amsterdam with a stipend of 36 LPA.

Placements: The placement record of IIT Kanpur is great; in the recession, almost all UG students were placed. Companies like Google, Amazon and startups come for placements. In my department, students go into SDE, consultancy, and product management profiles; very few opt for the core profile. Core companies like Dr. Reddy's Lab and Vedanta also come. Placements: Around 25 percent of students will get placed. The highest package will be around 30 lacs, the lowest will be below 5 lacs, and the average will be around 12 lacs. Recruiting companies will be NGO's. Internships will be for around 20 percent of students. The roles offered will be geoscientist, hydrologist, and related to climate change.

Placements: In general, placements at IIT Kanpur are excellent, but this year, due to the recession, they were not as good. The average CTC of my branch, Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, is 22 LPA, and the median is 20 LPA, with a placement percentage of around 85% because around 25 out of 30 students SAT for placements get placed. If you LOOK at the branch only from a placement point of view, then Biological Sciences and Bioengineering (BSBE) have better placement than other core branches.

Placements: In 2024, the placement statistics are very poor due to online studying and the skill gap it has created, exacerbated by the recession. Some companies did not participate in campus placements, and those that did made very few offers compared to usual. This year, the placement rate is around 70%. The highest package was 2.2 CPA for the quant profile, and the average package in our department is 19 LPA. Placements: The Students' Placement Office (SPO) of IIT Kanpur is the primary point of contact for the recruiting companies visiting the institute. This year, around 75% of a batch of roughly 85 students from the MSE UG batch were placed. The major companies hiring were Vedanta and JSW Steel for the core profile and firms like American Express, Axxela, and Brain and Co. for the financial analyst profile. Placements: I had about 147 students in my batch. The highest package will be around 40 lacs, the lowest package will be around 5 lacs, and the average will be around 15 lacs. Mainly, construction and steel companies will be recruiting. About 20–30% of students got internships. Internships will be attained by mostly PG students. Structures, environment, and hydraulics will be the top roles.

Placements: I am here to give an idea about the placement of an M.Sc. Chemistry student: It's pathetic; only 2 companies came by, and there was no placement for any student. Apart from this, if you want to do a Ph.D. from abroad, then this is the best place for you. Internships are not provided by the college; we had to find internships on our own. The percentage of students who got internships from my batch is, sadly, 2%.

Placements: 57% of students are placed in good companies in our EE Course. The highest package is 18 Lacs, and the lowest is 6 Lacs. The average package is 10 Lacs. 34% got internships from campus. The companies selecting are Nova, Indiga, EY, Microsoft, and Wipro. These companies offer higher packages.

Placements: In my department, the placements are very good, with around 95 to 98% of students placed, and the average package is around 40 LPA, with the highest being 2.2 crore, which is international. The top recruiting companies are Texas Instruments, Optiver, Quadeye, Rubrik, Tower Research, Google, Microsoft, etc. Internships are also good; around 80% of students get an internship every year, and the same companies come for internships as I have written down above. The top roles are HFT and SDE.

Placements: The placement is getting better and better in our college; the highest package is 24 lacs per year, and the lowest package is 8 lacs per year. And the average package is 16 lacs per year. The top companies that came to my course are Reliance, Goldman Sachs, Tata Project, and some other companies. 70 percent of students got internships at Tata Steel and Raymond. The roles offered in my course depend on the talent of students .

Placements: In my department, approximately 90% of placements occur on campus. The highest package this time offered was 85 LPA, the lowest was 10 LPA, and the average was 19 LPA. Dr. Reddy and Axxella are the main recruiters during the placements in our course. The internship number is not so good but around 50% of students get the internship. I have no idea about the role but it depends on which area students want to go to.

Placements: We are a batch of 50 students, out of whom 26 are placed this year in roles such as data analyst, data scientist, and finance, with the highest package of 35 LPA. IIT Kanpur has the record of 100 percent placement in the Statistics department last year. Students who got internship opportunities in summers received PPOs.

Placements: The students in M.Tech usually don't apply for the core companies. They apply in Tech companies and companies prefer B.Tech students over M.Tech students. Out of all the students only 3 students got placed in this placement season in which the highest package was 23 Lacs and the lowest was 9 Lacs.

Placements: 70% of the students got placed during the placements drive. The lowest offer was 10 Lacs and the highest was 1crore with an average of around 20 LPA by Microsoft, Goldensachs and others. From our course, 30% students got internships. HR, intern, consultation, financial manager, and cyber security were the roles offered.

Placements: Over 80 percent of total students were placed. The highest package is around 1.9 crore rupees, and the lowest is around 12 lakhs per annum. The average package is 15 lacs per year. Some of the top recruiters are Goldman Sachs, Reliance, ICICI Bank, Samsung, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, etc.

Placements: In our senior batch, 55 out of 70 are placed right now, with an average package of 15 LPA (Base). Top recruiting companies were Microsoft, Intel, Flipkart, Saplabs etc. Top roles were SDE, Data Scientist, Cybersecurity Engineer etc. The highest package offered was 60 LPA.
