Amazing placements, really good and supportive faculty, and a well-structured curriculum.
Placements: Hello everyone, Ashish here! I study at IIT Madras, pursuing a BS in Data Science and AIML. This year marked the first placement drive for our course, as it's relatively new. The exact placement percentage after the 4th year wasn't described, but on average, students received a package of 12-15 Lacs PA, with the highest package being 80 Lacs PA.
Infrastructure: The lectures are designed to be easy to understand, with clear audio and visuals. However, the biggest problem is that they become very tiresome very quickly, almost feeling repetitive after a certain point, which is reached very quickly. But if you push through these difficulties swiftly, this course offers a very realistic understanding of Data Science, AI, and ML.
Faculty: The faculty, curriculum, and exams are well-structured and strategically planned. The curriculum provides crucial details about the concepts of Data Science, AI, and ML. In my personal opinion, this course is very much worth the while and effort you put into it, as it makes you very industry-ready.
Other: One fest is conducted every year for us, called Paradox, where all kinds of sports and other events are hosted, in which we participate. The crowd in general is very smart. Here, you will find the environment you desire when in an IIT.

Everything is very good at IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology.
Placements: Approximately 90% of students get placed, but most of the students go for higher studies like M.Tech. and MS. There are also many on-campus internships available, and the number of students who got internships is not more, but yes, 50% of the students get placed as per the previous record.
Infrastructure: When I visited my college for lab work, the hostel was very good, the classrooms were very good, and the library was very good; everything was fine. If we talk about quality, the quality of the classrooms is very good, but the food is not so good. But yes, you will be satisfied.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are actually very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. Most teachers are Ph.D. holders, and their teaching quality is very good. Yes, this course is very great; it will make students ready for the industry. It is India's number-one college.
Other: I chose this course because I love electronics. There is a festival called Parados where all BS students come to meet and enjoy themselves on campus.

Less Interaction with college but very good for those who have passion in data Science field.
Placements: Placement data is not yet released by the college official. Also, in this year, May and June, most of the companies will visit campus, and this year 2024 will be the first time when students are getting placed. We can assume an average of 3 LPA and a maximum package can be of 6-7 LPA.
Infrastructure: I am going to give an average of 3 stars because we have to study online and hostel facilities are not available to us. Although once a year, a fest happens in which all the students can meet and enjoy. Hostel facilities are available for some selected students at the third year or B.Sc. level.
Faculty: About the semester exams, in this course, there is no semester type thing. Instead, we follow the term system (4 months). There are 3 terms in a year, and about the 'term end exams', some of the subjects are very difficult to pass for some of the students. Also, if you can't pass a subject, you have to repeat the entire subject in the next term; there is no system like 'back exams' like other colleges.

    IIT madras online course .
Placements: As it was online course we can attend to the placements but the chance of getting high package was less as compared to the offline students. The highest package was 54 LPA in offline course, and the average package was 19 Lacs per annum, as we compared to last year the opportunities for the internships has been increased .
Infrastructure: We have access to some events we have access to library labs and enter to campus, for some fest they provide us stay and food for events, hostel was good and provided a table cart and chair for each student, the food taste was average and medical facility is provided good, sports facility also good .
Faculty: Teaching of them was good and they teach in unique style. Teaching mode is online we can clarify everything as it was the better in the online, we have a classes of 10 hours per week as we choose the course before they provide us the intern chances, they gives us ideas about the researches and makes us, semister exams are done manuvaly at the college.

Some information about the BS in Data Science and Application from IIT Madras.
Placements: The official data on placements is not published by IITM BS. But some sources say that students get internships at big companies and also get a handsome package. Some of the top roles that one can get from a BS in Data Science and Application are data scientist, data analyst, and many more.
Infrastructure: Since this is a distance/off-campus/online course, you won't get access to campus for regular study, but you can visit the campus with your official ID card. If we talk about the curriculum and academics, then you are going to have an IIT-level quality of education.
Faculty: All the instructors and professors are well-qualified from the world's top institutes. Most of them are helpful and are free to help students in their academics through their email. In this era of fast-growing technology and data, this course is very relevant. This course will help you be future-ready in the industry. All the assessments, including exams, are of standard level, with no chance of cheating. Generally, the pass percentage is 40% or above.

    Online degree at IIT Madras.
Placements: The placement being provided by the online degree team is not what you will expect from IIT madras. The placement are equivalent to any tier 3 engineering college. The placements clearly define that the companies do not treat the online degree as usual IIT Madras degree.
Infrastructure: Since it is an online degree the infrastructure of hostel doesn't make any sense in this case. Apart from that the courses infrastructure if talking about the online infrastructure of the team, then it is quite good but is somewhat similar to the internet infra in our country, poor sometimes.
Faculty: The teachers are not only limited to the IIT Madras as well as the teachers are form other well known IIT also. All the teachers are highly qualified teachers as expected from IIT. Some of the teachers explain the concept smoothly whereas some use the old ways of teaching but they don't lag behind in knowledge.
