Presently, IIT Madras offers around 100 UG, PG, joint degree, exchange and research programmes. It awards the degrees of BTech, BTech-MTech (Dual Degree), BS-MS (Dual Degree), Integrated MA, MTech, MBA, MSc, MS by Research and PhD in the fields of Engineering, Science, Architecture, Management, and Social Sciences. BTech is the flagship programme of IIT Madras and it is of four-year duration. The duration of PG programmes, such as MTech, MBA, MSc, etc. is two years each. Additionally, IITM has signed MoUs with foreign universities to offer Joint PhD and JDP programmes.
