Placements: This course provides research, and that's what most students pursue for higher education rather than pursuing a job. That is why here, there is no average package, but I can tell you the median package that was offered is 18 LPA according to the data for 2021-2022 and 8 LPA for 2022-2023. Recruiting companies are Adobe, Oswal, and many more. 90-100 percent of students got internships at research institutions. The top roles offered to students are research analysts, researchers, and scientists.

Placements: The average salary for Master of Science graduates from IISER Thiruvananthapuram is 22 LPA, with one student recently receiving 25 LPAs from top companies. Companies that hire students include Mahindra Group, Tata Group, and Mu Sigma. Most students receive internship opportunities, but many do not participate in placements.

Though placement is less as students mostly go for research after masters. We have a placement cell that notifies about the opportunities in industries and academia. As my plans are to pursue a PhD after getting this degree, I never got interested in a placement opportunity.

Placements: Yes, IISER Thiruvananthapuram provides placements in the integrated physical Science course. Nearly 40-45% of the students of our course gets placed at this college. However, IISER is a Science Institute where research into pure Science is given importance. Placements: There is a placement cell in our college as well, which helps students to get jobs. However, most of the students in IISER, after five years of BS-MS, pursue Ph.D. abroad. Almost 75-85% of the students get Ph.D. opportunities outside India every year. ISRO and DRDO also recruit students for junior scientist jobs from here after BS-MS. Most of the students got internships at IITs, IISc, TIFR, IISERs, and some students at foreign universities as well, like Harvard, Stanford, Max Planck, etc.

Placements: In my batch ( BSMS batch 21) there were around 230 students. Mainly the curriculum is interdisciplinary. During the first two years of the course foundation courses are taken for the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and mathematics. More than 80% of students from my batch got internship during this summer in different IISERs and in different prestigious institutions in India .

Placements: The Integrated BSMS course that IISER is providing is a 5 year course. In this 5 years, 2 years is for foundation course where we learn Maths Biology Chemistry Physics IDC and humanities as core subjects. Placements: Most of the students from IISER TVM opt to do a Ph.D. The stipend for a Ph.D. varies from 800 to 2000 euros. They apply in the US and Europe for a Ph.D. position. There are very few students who go to industry after BSMS. There is a new placement cell here that is trying to help students get jobs.
